Just got done watching Land of the Lost. It's pretty bad, but not the worst movie I've ever seen. What are some of the best and worst Will Ferrell films (in your opinion)?

Best: Anchorman

Other Favorites: Talladega Nights, Step Brothers, Old School

Worst: Stranger than Fiction

I didn't mind Stranger than Fiction. I think his worst is Land of the Lost.

I like just about everything else...that I can think of.

edit: Bewitched was terrible too.

I honestly can't think of a "best" for him.

Maybe Kicking and Screaming? Robert Duvall and Mike Ditka were classic in that movie.

I like all of his movies that I've seen, but I've never watched Bewitched or Semi-Pro.

Step Brothers is by far the best movie he is in, followed closely by Elf, Anchorman, and Old School.

Minor roles count? Anchorman, Wedding Crashers and Step Brothers are probably my top three.

Land of the Lost & Bewitched are his worst.

Using "best" for a Will Ferrell movie almost seems like an oxymoron. I think his best work is when ad libbing about USC football or some NASCAR race.
He's funny as hell just most of his movies are not for me.

Best:
Night at the Roxbury, Elf, Old School, Step Brothers and Anchorman...Wedding Crashers if that counts

Worst:
Bewitched (even Nicole Kidman looking good couldnt save it). Never saw most others cause I thought they looked dumb as fuck. Talladega Nights was ok.

Anchorman is his best, I think. Its also one of the better comedies to come out in the past twenty five or so years. His worst? Probably Bewitched.

Elf is under rated

Worst sounds like LotL and Bewitched

Best: Elf, Anchorman, The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers

Best cameo by far was in Wedding Crashers. "Mom, MEATLOAF! F**K!", "Dude I almost nunchucked you, you dont even know!"

I loved Stranger than Fiction. Thought it was it best performance and really nice to see him in his non traditional role.

ETB, why didn't you like it?

It was just the first that came to mind. I have only seen it once, and it was years ago. I think I was looking for more of a comedic role for Ferrell, and was disappointed. Considering some posts on here, I may have to check it out again.

I thought Land of the Lost was ehh but I've never watched a movie of his and thought wow he blows. Still Anchorman is one of my all-time favorite comedies and in Old School he was hilarious in every scene
