I'm not crying, I could give a shit about the rep bar and or infractions. I'm "crying" because if you're not a moderator on THIS forum, you're abusing your power (by handing out negative rep points). Only moderators can do that. Which makes you a pretty shitty moderator.

Yes, but people, mostly new people don't know that. All they see is your name is in purple and that makes you a representative of the forum. With that title, you have to be held to a higher standard and can ill afford to toe any line.

Then you are part of the problem, not the solution. If new user acquisition is the goal, you are not toeing the company line. If anything, you are directly responsible for a lack of new blood around here.

Not caring really one way or the other, that's just how things are done here. But I will say that most (if not all) other site I frequent moderator bullshit isn't a problem.

It's a perk of being a moderator, sorting out posts that are bad for this message board (for those who care about the rep bar...like ETB). If it's just to throw in someone's face because you don't agree with them or don't like what they're saying, everyone should have the power. Not just the mods. Guess what, we don't. Moderators do. And you abuse it, abusing your powers as a moderator.

Check the forum statistics. When I'm on vacation, posting is down. When I'm active, posting increases; and I'm not just talking about my posts.

My themes are no different than anyone elses. Pro Ohio State, Anti SEC, anti Notre Dame. I'm just better at expressing those feelings than anyone else.
