What do you think? I she right or retard.
I had a friend get his appendix out with no insurance and he had to pay less than 1k of a 10k bill. The hospital had some charity fund he applied for help from to get help paying the bill.

Well someone has to pay for poor, poor 34 year old white woman's health care. Might as well be you.ccrunner609;1040330 wrote:My coverage at work has doubled in price.
This may shock you but it came about because of the actions of the federal government. Employer benefit plans proliferated in the 1940's. Government imposed wage freezes on employers during WWII accelerated the spread of employer provided health care. Employers unable by law to attract workers by paying more, instead were allowed to improve their benefit packages by adding health care.ManO'War;1040333 wrote:And since when did it become the responsibility of the employer to provide health insurance!??!?

What has happened to the overall cost of other goods during this time to compare to healthcare and what was the average increase in cost before Obama came into office. Without those numbers that 15% isn't really helpful in gauging how harmful or beneficial Obamacare has been.ccrunner609;1040330 wrote:Her sign should of read:
I am a 34 year old women that never went to college and has jumped around jobs since HS and never cared about insurance and never cared about buying any form of health care. Now that I have a rotten pussy, I am going to let everyone else take care of me.
Even if you feel like Obama care is helpfull what you dont understand is that nothing is free. Since this bafoon has entered office, healthcare coverage has increased almost 15%. My wifes employer dropped her coverage alltogether. My coverage at work has doubled in price.

Even though the productive have always and likely will always pay the way for the non-productive, I'm not thrilled with the concept of it being more and more the law of the land.Footwedge;1041284 wrote:The very people who criticize Obamacare should be the people applauding it.

In regards to my wife getting dropped......what if she wasnt married to a man that has a college education and a career that offers great health care? Would that be a "too bad" moment? The fact that a person with her job and education can suddenly get dropped after 12 years of employment because this administration is trying to strangle the haves to give to the have nots is sickening.
TEB, you should be scared cause its gonna get you to.
You tell people not to bitch if they haven't obtained an education and worked to get a good job that provides good benefits, then you turn around and bitch about the health plans of you and your wife. Ironic.ccrunner609;1040527 wrote:That would be both........It costs me and my family almost 20,000 a year to insure. I pay 15% of that. My wife had an employer who was insuring her for around $7,000 a year and after Obama care it went to $17,000 for her. They dropped her.
And I dont want some left wing nutjob on here talking about how thats not enough.....When you and your spouse both went to college to enjoy a high paying job and the perks that go along with it and you didnt.....you dont get to bitch about what you dont have, everyone knows the gig going in. You want the good life.....you got to go get it. Its a priviliage not a right.
Everyone getting employer paid insurance in the 40's also led to skyrocketing prices in healthcare because people weren't paying it, so they weren't concerned with the cost.majorspark;1040453 wrote:This may shock you but it came about because of the actions of the federal government. Since federal government action caused health care to become a responsibility of the employer, federal government action unfortunately is need to correct the problem it fostered. Not as an opportunity for the feds to grab it for themselves, but to put policy in place that allows it to be transferred to the states and the people's responsibility.
Employers should not be in the insurance business. They should do what they do best, manufacturing a good or providing a service to their customers while making a profit off those goods and services
