Same here...schedule is brutal

yeah, that is a good point. I guess if we can get a bunch more John Hughes type players with the next couple of drafts...no schedule will look tough....lollike_that;1171403 wrote:It's not like the schedule is going to get any easier next year. We will still be in a tough division plus we will be playing the likes of the bears, lions, and packers. All that in a year where some posters think the Browns will all of a sudden make the playoffs. I rather play the NFC east than the NFC north. The fact of the matter is as long as the Browns suck ass, any schedule is going to look daunting.
Which is why you take a 2-14 year this year (oh the humanity, going 2-14 instead of 4-12!!!!) and get your franchise QB. Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson, Logan Thomas, Aaron Murray, Keith Price (whoever is projected top 3). That's A LOT of quality QBs were looking at in the 2013 draft. Yes, some of them will fall off the map this season..but then you'll possibly have an RG3 type player who will come out of nowhere.like_that;1171403 wrote:It's not like the schedule is going to get any easier next year. Need it? No, but it seems the mods feel obligated to force their hands upon us. F*cking bullsh*t.like_that;1171381 wrote:We don't need any mods holding our hands.
You're so right, great QBs are never drafted outside of the 3rd pick.SportsAndLady;1171424 wrote:you are never going to be drafting in the top 3 to get a great QB.

Exactly, like I said, we are Cleveland fans... We bitch, moan, and call each other mean things, but in the end we persevere because we realize we are all fans of this fucking organization we love to hate so muchlike_that;1171759 wrote:Agreed, that's why I think threads like this should be grandfathered in. I am not trying to change anything. What is your definition of better record? Obviously Weeden is more than likely going to start more games than TS. To my knowledge, TS is 4-3 as a starter. Thats a 57% winning percentage for those of us who have trouble figuring that out (eg, Footwedge). For Brandon Weeden to do better than that, he has to win over half of his games. I dont see whats confusing you guys. And I made the Browns stipulation, because who gives a shit what he does if he isnt playing for the Browns?BR1986FB;1171374 wrote:That's exactly what he said. Now he's posting the low hanging fruit/potentially easy money bets which are likely in his favor.
Where did I say you can't get a great QB past the first 3 picks?lhslep134;1171688 wrote:You're so right, great QBs are never drafted outside of the 3rd pick.
Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Roethlisberger--none taken top 3. That's not including non-top 35 picks (Romo, Brady, Schaub)
If there's as many great QBs as you say there are next year then we don't need to be drafting in the top 3 to take one of them.
I was all in on the RG3 bandwagon but after seeing what it took I'd rather have Richardson, Weeden, Schwartz and next years 1st & 2nd than RG3 right now.SportsAndLady;1171857 wrote:Tell me this..would you rather have luck/rg3 or any other QB in this draft?

Well, duh...without having to use picks I'd take those guys but a) you don't know the Browns will be drafting high enough next year to get a top QB, b) you don't know that next years crop will be better than Weeden and c) this regime isn't in any position to play "wait and see", letting their jobs hang in the balance on the performance of Colt McCoy.SportsAndLady;1171999 wrote:Umm that's not wat I asked....at all lol
Would you be more excited about having Luck or rg3 (as in you had the second pick and it cost nothing to get him)...or.....tannehill, Weeden, or any other qb in this draft?
a) if the browns are 2-14 they're drafting top 2BR1986FB;1172001 wrote:Well, duh...without having to use picks I'd take those guys but a) you don't know the Browns will be drafting high enough next year to get a top QB, b) you don't know that next years crop will be better than Weeden and c) this regime isn't in any position to play "wait and see", letting their jobs hang in the balance on the performance of Colt McCoy.
Two of the three are assumptions and the third is talking from a fans perspective, as you mentioned.SportsAndLady;1172010 wrote:a) if the browns are 2-14 they're drafting top 2
b)the top QB next year isnt gonna be better than the 3rd QB this year? Come on...
c) im talking from a fans perspective not h&h's
