I still am not sure how much the Browns like Richardson enough to take him with their first pick...I know that they like him a lot but I can see them passing over him and taking a RB with their 2nd or 3rd pick while getting possibly Mo Claiborne with their first pick and a WR/OL or rb with their 2nd or 3rd pick. I want them to take Richardson with their first pick, I just have no idea what their plan's going to be with the first pick.

Neither does anyone else, but they would be excessively stupid not to take an offensive player with either of their first round picks. If this were to occur, you better believe their homes would be burned to the ground (possibly by whatever QB is getting hung out to dry AGAIN with ZERO offensive weapons).

McCoy is a gamer; that's what the Browns need.

If we're talking putting a QB on the roster this year still, don't sleep on Kirk Cousins if he falls down to the 4th-5th round. The guy had a pretty good career at MSU despite having very little talent around him on offense (can you name a Spartan offensive skill player from that period in the NFL? I sure can't). He seems to have a lot of the intangibles McCoy has but a stronger arm (though not a cannon). Also, and this is what I like the most, the guy has actually played in cold/inclement weather in his life.

Durk really nice write up. While I don't think McCoy will be all that great I still think the Browns need to draft some players and see what he can do. If you give him players and this or maybe give him 2 years and he does nothing then you look for someone who can get the job done.

Right now I think the best move is to surround McCoy with playmakers on offense and if he fails we go after a qb next year. If he does good then we can stick with him and build up other positions.

As much as I want Claiborne, the Browns need offensive playmakers. Taking Richardson at 4(if we can't trade back) and a WR at #22 (Hill, Floyd, Sanu) will go a long way into making the Browns a better team.

The thought of having haden and claiborne on opposite sides seems great to me. Although, I wouldn't mind going offense with those first couple picks and grabbing janoris jenkins in the later rounds. He's a stud, and if he truly has "reformed" then he will be a great steal.

Yeah I've seen mocks with him going as high as 23rd. I feel he will slip though.

Yeah, let me find it real quick...I do agree with you though about his talent. First round material. I just think with this "checkered past" that teams will be unwilling to take him inside 30th

Also, the team most associated with jenkins in the first round is saying they aren't taking him...http://www.prideofdetroit.com/2012/4/8/2934211/janoris-jenkins-detroit-lions-2012-nfl-draft

the only thing that scares me durk and sleeper, is both claiborne and hadens contracts will both be expiring within 2 years of each other.. if claiborne pans out, we have to cbs that are going to be paid to 5 cb money. thats a lot of money tied up into one position.

That's a lot of money sure, but if their talent pans up to be worth top money, then we have 2 top of the line CBs.
