It's not like Newton is this super freak QB who figured out how to not suck in his rookie year...he just was put in a perfect situation (weapons, offense molded around him, defense was terrible which allowed for more offensive possessions, etc.)

We'll see how good he'll be in his 2nd year, when NFL D coordinators have some game tape to look at.
That's what I am waiting to see, along with Dalton. Hopefully if one of them adjusts to defenses it isn't Dalton lol.

[h=3]Browns down to two?[/h]8:01AM ET
[h=5]Cleveland Browns[/h]

With over three weeks left before the start of the NFL Draft, many of the logical possibilities have already been fully dissected for teams at the top of the draft order, and so we've gotten into the more creative possibilities, such as the Minnesota Vikings passing on USC OT Matt Kalil, leaving the Cleveland Browns to take him to start at RT or trade down with a team that is fiending for a player of Kalil's caliber.
The scenario that is considered most likely, however, is Kalil being taken by the Vikes at No. 3, leaving the Browns with their choice of Justin Blackmon, Trent Richardson and Morris Claiborne -- believed to be the next three best -- amongst other possibilities. Then there's the Ryan Tannehill wildcard: though he's not thought to be worthy of such a high pick in general, the premium placed on the QB position has pushed the Texas A&M passer into the conversation for Cleveland, Miami and others.
In a lengthy column for the Cleveland Plain Dealer this past weekend, Dennis Manoloff examined the pros and cons of each potential outcome. Cutting to the chase, he considered two players as distinct possibilities -- Richardson and Blackmon -- while also not discounting the possibility of a trade-down, but not out of the Top 10.
Selecting Richardson or Blackmon remains the most logical choice for Cleveland -- as it has for weeks -- but that doesn't guarantee that this will be the scenario that unfolds on draft day.

Dalton started to come back to earth towards the end of the year IMO. Very similar to DA back in 07.

Hopefully that means Green will be similar to Braylon then lol. Doubt that though.

That first pick needs to be either richardson or blackmon. If we take tannehill at that spot I'll seriously consider not watching a single game next year.

I won't be mad, but I won't be excited. Both are goign to be great players so you can't be too pissed about it. We just need some instant offense and those two(blackmon/richardson) provide it.

If we take Tannehill with anything but a 7th rounder I'd be pissed.

No thanks on that draft. I'm starting to really like Lavonte David. I will be disappointed if the Browns don't end up with him in this draft. He'd be a stud LB that this team needs. If we can leave this draft with David, James, (Massie, Mosely, or Schwartz) and one of these (Wright, Quick, Randle, Adams) I will be happy. Obviously we'd have to pick up a second round pick to accomplish this, but with a trade down and 13 picks to use as ammo to move around it is entirely possible.
