I really hope they don't open the season up against cincy, and why the fuck would they be given a MNF game? I highly doubt this is their schedule.

[h=3]The Browns' 2012 secondary[/h]9:37AM ET
[h=5]Cleveland Browns[/h]

A day after word emerged that LSU CB Morris Claiborne was visiting the Cleveland Browns -- the Akron Beacon Journal has the details -- Tony Grossi of 850 AM ESPN Radio examined the team's larger plans in the secondary for 2012.
One aspect in play is a position switch for veteran CB Sheldon Brown. With the team's re-signing of Dimitri Patterson, it's believed that Brown may make the move to safety for this season, to start alongside T.J. Ward. So who's starting opposite 2010 first-rounder Joe Haden? It may be Patterson, it may be Buster Skrine or it may be a player yet to be added to the team.
Which brings us back to Claiborne. We can't rule out the Browns selecting the LSU product at No. 4 overall, but the ongoing speculation is that they're going with either Trent Richardson or Justin Blackmon at the spot instead. Nevertheless, with an additional first-round pick (and 12 more, overall), it's more likely than not that one CB (if not multiple CBs) will be added during the draft.

[h=3]The Steinbach sweepstakes[/h]7:44AM ET
[h=5]Eric Steinbach | Browns[/h]
The Cleveland Browns cut ties with OL Eric Steinbach after the veteran declined to take a pay cut this offseason, as he continues to recover from back surgery last August. When healthy, Steinbach is a starting-caliber interior lineman, but he did not play at all during the 2011 season following the surgery.
Jeff Dickerson of ESPNChicago.com has been told by sources familiar with the situation that the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks are amongst the teams who have inquired about Steinbach thus far. In addition, a source also cited the Baltimore Ravens as a possibility.
If it's going to be the Ravens, that move is unlikely to happen until later this offseason, as ESPN AFC North blogger Jamison Hensley explains:
- Tim Kavanagh
[h=5]Jamison Hensley[/h]The Ravens hinted they won't make any more moves until after the draft
"So if the Ravens don't use a first- or second-round pick on a guard, they should make a call to Steinbach. The alternative is starting a backup offensive tackle (Jah Reid) at left guard."
I googled search the "leaked schedule" and there are a lot of sites calling BS lol. I can't remember the last time the Browns opened up with the same team in back to back years. Even if they did, it would make sense to have the Bengals host the game this time around.

Why on earth do the Browns get prime time games? Has Goodell lost it? Don't like my team getting embarrassed on national TV much.

Not sure that the schedule is legit but EVERY team in the NFL gets a prime time game this year. They will be doing the Thursday Night NFL Network games all year, I believe. Browns don't deserve two though, if that schedule's correct.

But they're not stupid, they know outside of Luck and RG3, they're not going to get their QB. Get out of here with that Weeden crap...Big 12 QBs are terrible, and the guy is 28 years old for christ sake.
So by this logic Colt McCoy will never be any good even if we add talent around him this year.

I am not getting into the McCoy mess, because that is just a broken record argument. We all know where we stand on that issue. I believe the point S&L is trying to make is that no Big 12 QB has proven he deserves the title of "NFL Ready" before playing any games, because so far most Big 12 QBS in this league havent done shit lately.

And one can surely find the 45+ year old Browns fan. "I am older and watched more football than you, I know what I'm talking about!" or " boo hoo we suck I don't have much time on this earth so we should make knee jerk decisions such as drafting a 28 year old QB, because I'm desperate and sick of losing."

Whatta joke. Can't wait for a ridiculous prediction from you this year. Browns should easily win 10 games right?

Cue the "wow you are obsessed with me and know too much about me" fail response.

That's a good analysis and basically exactly what I've said. Outside of the first 2 or 3 picks, Heckert's drafting has been below average at best. You can't build exclusively through the draft when you don't hit on anyone after the 2nd round.

This has seemingly been missed/ignored by alot of Browns fans who keep advocating that at all costs we do nothing but build through the draft. We haven't had any real hits outside the top 2 rounds, and at that rate it would take a decade to build a team only adding 2 guys a year who make an impact.
