Probably would take more catches since McCoy throws so many 1 yd passes but it could be argued less on both since Johnson would be farther downfield than 1 yd and McCoy wouldn't see him.

Wow I can't believe that people are trying to single out the offensive problems. It was a completely collective effort to fail offensively last year. It cannot be placed solely on McCoy, the WRs, the RBs or the OL.

The OL was awful, allowing McCoy to be hit more than 22 other teams allowed. We didn't have a steady RB who could stay healthy and carry the load. WRs led the league in drops. McCoy didn't improve.

If you think FA was going to fix all of those issues, then really, what's the point in arguing with you? You're clearly too delusional to see the big picture. This team needs to build through the draft and manage money wisely for a free agent that is actually worth it.

It will take a collective improvement in those 4 categories for the team to win more games, not a drastic improvement in just one of those positions. I mean Cam Newton had arguably one of the best rookie seasons ever and he only improved the team from 2 wins to 6.

Justin Blackmon - WR - Player
According to the Canton Repository, Browns president Mike Holmgren "would rather not burn" the No. 4 overall pick on a wide receiver.

The only receiver in the 2012 draft considered by some to be worth a top-five pick is Oklahoma State's Justin Blackmon. After selecting the best player available at No. 4, the Browns could wait for a wide receiver like Kendall Wright (Baylor), Rueben Randle (LSU) or Stephen Hill (Georgia Tech) at the No. 22 pick.

dude calvin johnson would put up a 1000 yards and 10 tds with me throwing to him. that dude is a freak of nature, he is on a completely different planet. i do think with another reciever and decent qb little could throw up 1000 yard year. shit he did start til what week 6 last year? he needs another wide out to take pressure off him.

as for justin blackmon. STFU bitch. ijust be thankful your ass has a chance to be a TOP draft pick in the NFL. its crazy how some of these dudes act.

Shook, in all reality its probably just his agent not wanting to deal with the Browns, not Blackmon's personal belief.

Well...unless Blackmon's agent had his hand up the back of Blackmon's shirt and is a ventriloquist, I'd assume the "they suck" came from Blackmon's lips. :D

Greg Little had 709 yards as a rookie under Shurmur. I'd say Calvin getting 1,000 is a guarantee.

I would LOVE Stephen Hill. Great size, hands, and ridiculous speed. I'd also like Alshon Jeffrey.

I'd rather that Mike Holmgren not burn the #4 at all and trade down two spots and pick up some additional second round picks.

Agreed. I like Blackmon, but I feel as if there is plenty of WR talent in this draft to pass up on him.

Running a 4.39 at his Pro Day makes me want to take him with the first pick even more. To have him and Haden at the corners, I guess they can slide Sheldon Brown to safety and see what he can do there...even though I think he's about finished anyway. Then they can come back and take a wr with their 2nd 1st rd pick, then be able to maybe take Weeden or who ever they are looking at in the 2nd round. I would take OL/LB in the 2nd round if I'm them though...

He's a great specimen but after this I don't touch him. Heard a doctor talk about the injury and he said "there's a good chance an injury like this could be recurring." He'd look great next to Haden but the Browns can't be taking "chances" with this pick.

Who do you think the Bucs would take? I know it kinda depends what the Browns do at 4, but say they do trade with STL and pick around 6. Do they take Richardson then if he's there? I dont really have a clue of who the Bucs are looking at. I know they like Richardson too but maybe they take Claiborne at 5.

^^ Yep. I like him and Doug Martin after Richardson and Lamar Miller out of the U. I think Miller is more of a speed back though while the other 3 are more between the tackes who have decent to good speed.

And I think this is the way they will likely go over Richardson unless they trade down. But knowing them, they'll probably shock the Hell out of everybody and use the #22 on Coby Fleener with that second 1st instead of taking a RB.

I'd love to see them pick up Wilson with the early second round pick. He's a solid RB.

I would have no problem with the Wilson pick as long as we got a WR before.
