O-line...receivers, tight ends, running backs and of course the quarterback. How many starters were number one picks? None.

Second stringer Robert Meacham was a 27th overall out of Tennessee.

Maybe...just maybe...coaching has a little bit of importance...in how to move the ball,

This. Alot of great offenses are doing it without #1 draft picks. See New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers.

I would assume he means 1st round draft picks.

Drew Brees: 2nd round
Pierre Thomas: Undrafted
Marques Colston: 7th round
Lance Moore: Undrafted
Jimmy Graham: 3rd round

For every second or seventh round super star there are a string of second and seventh round busts. I am sure coaching plays a little into that, but not as much as the sheer desire and athletic ability of the individual players involved.

Has to be 1st round, there are only 11 first-overall picks playing in the league now.

But I'll play along and look at some other playoff teams:

Packers (3rd in total offense)
Aaron Rodgers: 1st round
Ryan Grant (undrafted)/James Starks (6th round)
Greg Jennings: 2nd round
Jordy Nelson: 2nd round
Jermichael Finley: 3rd round

Patriots (2nd in total offense)
Tom Brady: 6th round
BenJarvus Green-Ellis: Undrafted
Deion Branch: 2nd round
Wes Welker: Undrafted
Rob Gronkowski: 2nd round

Giants (8th in total offense)
Eli Manning: 1st round
Ahmad Bradshaw (7th round)/Brandon Jacobs (4th round)
Victor Cruz: Undrafted
Hakeem Nicks: 1st round
Jake Ballard: Undrafted

Lions (5th in total offense)
Matthew Stafford: 1st round
Kevin Smith: 3rd round
Calvin Johnson: 1st round
Titus Young: 2nd round
Brandon Pettigrew: 1st round

Steelers (12th in total offense)
Ben Roethlisberger: 1st round
Rashard Mendenhall: 1st round (Moore, 4th round)
Mike Wallace: 3rd round
Antonio Brown: 6th round
Heath Miller: 1st round

Ravens (15th in total offense)
Joe Flacco: 1st round
Ray Rice: 2nd round
Anquan Boldin: 2nd round
Torrey Smith: 2nd round
Ed Dickson: 3rd round

Thought this was a rather amazing piece of info. The Saints have 26 players on their roster that were either undrafted(19) or 7th round picks(7).
