Who was that LT..>Tony Mandarich? Man was he a flop. but did come back to play on the OL for a bit for the Colts I think.

I remember him on the cover of SI and I think they posted what he ate each day.

Jerome Harrison was a late round pick for the Browns that I thought would be a "poor man's Reggie Bush." He did show flashes for a 5 game stretch.
Have a buddy who still sucks his D, because of those 5 games. Acts as if Jerome was the best RB to come through Cleveland. He still is high on him lolfail.

Just hope the guy lives through that brain tumor.

I still think Matt Ryan is a tad bit overrated.

Cam Newton has definitely shocked me so far.

I thought your boy, Joe Flacco, was going to be a beast. He hasn't.

I didn't think he would be a beast but it's probably because I didn't even know who he was before they drafted him. It appears he doesn't have the "it factor." He does have the skills and arm though.

This guy is what some thought LeBron might be able to do in the NFL.

Andy Dalton- With the lockout and Carson Palmer fiasco, I definitely thought he was in over his head. I definitely assumed he was a "wait 3 years and play" QB, but he impressed me.

Cam Newton- I thought it was genius what he was doing with his publicity campaign that pretty much made him a #1 overall pick. Thought he was going to epic fail in the NFL.

Hakeem Nicks- I didn't think he'd be this solid, always thought that he bumped himself into the 1st round with that one circus grab against WVU.

Chad Henne- Thought he'd have a solid career in the NFL.

Definitely Matty Ice. I didn't think he'd completely bomb, but I was expecting a guy who would put up 15 TD, 12 INT, and a 75 QBR for a few years then get benched.

I thought Cadillac Williams would be better than he has been. But he was mostly derailed by injuries.

I have heard a lot of people say he's a top 5 QB and he's definitely not that.

Caddy was a top 10 running back when he was healthy, but yes, injuries crushed him.

BUSTS

Keith Rivers, when the Bengals drafted him, I felt was going to be awesome. Another guy who finds himself injured all the time. The Hines Ward hit was one thing, but he's had 3 or 4 other injuries since. When he played, he was really good.

Malcolm Kelly. Never did squat and is out of the league. Typical Redskins.

Brian Brohm. Couldn't even beat out Matt Flynn (who was an average at-best college QB).

SURPRISES

Stevie Johnson. He was the 4th or 5th best offensive player at UK. He was a JUCO guy and rarely JUCO's end up becoming great. However, he's been super-productive the past 2 years.

Mike Wallace. At Ole Miss, he couldn't do anything but run fast. He's becoming a complete WR and is still one of the fastest players in the NFL.

Jordy Nelson- I know he had 1 great year at WR at Kstate but I def didnt see him producing like he is now

Andy Dalton- Thought he would be horrible

Reggie Bush-Hes picked it up as of late, but when he came into the league I thought he was gonna be Barry Sanders type in the open field

Lamar Woodley- He was pretty good at Michigan but theres no way in hell I thought hed turn into the type of player he is now

The fact that I never hear about Glenn Dorsey is a bit surprising to me as well. I thought he would be a stud.

Ted ginn. Thought he'd be a Steve smith type wr.

Run DMC. On JJ I predicted he would have less than 3000 career yards. Looks like I'm gonna be off on that.

Obscure: but I thought john jerry would be an all star guard that would turn Miami's offense around.
Whiffed badly on Newton, but I admitted that on another thread.

Dorsey plays the position that is toughest to become a household name. He's a quality player, he's just not amazing. The only DT's who people usually know are the great ones.
