I have the B&T Yuengling in the fridge. For the taste/price it is a good beer. The original lager is my favorite.

I love the Yuengling lager. Never tried the black and tan.

I had this on Christmas Eve....it took some getting used to.

The initial sales blew the doors off of what even YUengling expected themseelves. I had seen in another article that it doubled or tripled expectations, but it's not in this one.

[MAP][/MAP]Ehh not a huge fan I'll stick with la labatt blue light or Jolson for a cheap beer. I'm more of a fan of wheat beers with my favorites being spotted cow when I'm in the Milwaukee airport, hoegarden and 312 by goose island

Jesus, it's not a craft brew at all. It's a macro brew through and through. That Max and Erma's guy should be punished for being so stupid.

I prefer the original over the black and tan.

How much is a 12-pack of PBR?
I'm not much of a fan of regular Yuengling but B&T for the price ain't bad.

Can anyone get Special Export in Ohio? This is really good beer for the price.

LOL, to be fair, both distributors (A-B and Miller) incorrectly called it that at the launch. A-B ones (they distribute it in OH) call it a craft beer at a normal price to make it sound better so that stores would give it more cooler space, and Miller distributors were calling it a craft beer and showing stores numbers on how slow craft beers sell compared to white trash beers that fly off of the shelves, dissuading stores from giving it frontage (because most people hacked down their Miller frontage to give it room, as Bud and Busch sell faster than Miller and High Life).

Yuengling Light sucked. I enjoy the lager...but it's the ONLY beer in the world I prefer in a can. Not as good in a bottle I found...and that's total opposite for every other beer on earth. Black and Tan is good too.

The thing that sucks about Yuengling...the alcohol content is very low compared to even a Bud Light or a Coors/Miller.

Yuengling Lager is 4.4% abv. While Bud Light, Coors Light, and Miller Light are at 4.2%.

I am going to assume then that you believe Pabst to be a macro. What other brands beyond AB & MC would you classify as macro?

You're right. I looked at that same website on my phone...must have read it wrong (read the Ale as the Light apparently). Thanks for correcting me...now I won't be pissed when I drink it as much. :)

Ah Yuengling. Overrated garbage. I'd rather drink Natty.

While I think it's overrated for sure (good, yes...but very overrated when I hear people talk about it)....it is BY FAR better than Natty....

I trumps all of the comparable beers (Budweiser, Coors, Miller, Natty, Busch, etc) by far.

I never get tired of the "I am smarter, more sophisticated, and generally a much better person than you are, because of the beer I drink" drivel on this site.

I live in Illinois and came back to Ohio for the holidays. I picked up a couple 12 packs of the Lager and B&T. The regular Lager wasn't as good as I remember it being in the bombers. The B&T was pretty good. I got it from a small store in Salem that has to jack up prices so it was almost $11. For 9.99, I'd drink it over just about anything else in the cooler. I can pound 15+ of those a lot more comfortably than some Sam Adams.

State minimum on a 12 pack is 10.49 plus tax, so it probably wasn't marked up.
