Unless its edited from the book, than probably. Graphic rape and torture. Plus its a really violent plot at parts.

But I havent seen it, so this wont help.

Yeah, I read that there is a rape in there...which makes me iffy on taking him. Language and most violence doesn't really concern me

The Swedish version was pretty graphic, I assume it will be as bad, and quite possibly worse based on the fact Rooney Mara is being credited with going "all in" for the role.

Then again, Americans arent nearly as "ok" with that type of thing as Europeans, so who knows?

lol, Normally in a rape there is resistance, none what so ever from Dallas however. Don't think we can classify this as a rape.

The NBA is a joke on the travels and such. I've watched the athletic stars (Kobe, LeBron, Wade) take 4 steps multiple times throughout the years and once I slow mo'd it and witnessed Kobe taking FIVE steps AND he got an and1. Lol

Sadly, LeBron clearly just took 3 and during slow mo replay the announces say he only took 2....awesome

And Kobe cant carry them this year, at his age. Im not sold on the Clippers being the next best thing, but I am sold on them being top 6. If they do better than that, we could see a changing of the guard in LA.

Laker's bench isn't as bad as you guys are saying. Artest, Steve Blake, Mcroberts and Troy Murphy. Goudelock was a great player in college and a really good shooter. Darius Morris could develop into a decent back up point down the road.

Blake and Fisher shouldnt be starting or getting many minutes for any type of contender

Artest is solid when his head is inthe right place, and Murphy isnt bad, but they have absolutely no depth in terms of bigs(Murphy has the height, but plays like a big SF) and no real Pg either. and the 2 shooting guards they have off the bench are unproven rookies. Doesnt exactly sound promising

Edit:And I guess they have Kapono...but he hasnt done anything since 08-09

I like Blake, but no one can be considered a go-to option on that squad. Artest is as close as you can get, and his whole career has been marred with inconsistent play for stretches of minutes, into quarters, into games, into weeks. McRoberts would honestly be a better fit with the first unit than the 2nd. he can really pass the ball and set up others, the problem is...who is he gonna set up?

Morris is an unknown. That could be a key. I actually forgot about the rook. Murph is solid as well, bu spot up shooter and very streaky. Like miss the backboard...go 6/7 streaky.

If Kobe and Gasol arent both on, they literally have no scoring lol. Its gonna be a long season for them unless they pick up another go to guy like Laley said

Steve Blake is a quality back up pg, he had a down year last year but he can play and has a high basketball iq. Derek Fisher has always been hidden by the triangle offense but they have won with him in the past. As long as Kobe is healthy they will be right there with anyone in the west, no team really sticks out at this point as an obvious favorite.

Yeah a backup PG hed be fine, but He's on par with their starter(Fisher) who cannot hang with any of the top tier PGs anymore.

Id say the Thunder/Mavs(even though they got waxed today) are the top 2 teams easily in the west. LA might not even be the favorite in their own arena.

How many teams have go to players on their bench though? They have quality depth, Gasol or Kobe will just need to be on the floor with the bench players to make the game easier for them, something similar to what Miami does with Lebron's rotation.
