OC Computer Viruses????

My wife thinks it is the "New Hardware is found"

When I got my computer back I tried to hook everything up correctly and in the left 1/4 of the screen the "new hardware box" appeared and I just quit and waited for her to get home to set it up....when she got home she said I did it right......but not long after it's virus city.

I'm guessing those games are online and not something you have installed on your computer? Could have gotten it that way.


You can try googling the error message or name of the virus if you know it. Will probably take you to a help forum with people having the same issue.

Wife found a way to run a malwarebytes scan.....11 minutes in and 3 objects infected so far.

Has it gotten to registry files yet? That's where that virus you have attacks, but malwarebytes has always fixed it for me.

Get over yourself. I'm not one that knows everything. I think we got our first computer in 1995 and she's done everything with them that's needed done.

Also in my areas of weakness:

Never had a hole-in-one
Never bowled a 300 game
Only scored a 24 on my ACT

I'll look today for a Internet Hardass Class I can take so I can learn how to post on theez forums without embarrassing anyone.

I must go now....I'm missing The View. They are having a Justin Beiber special.

I'm pretty sure Kim Jong Il did the first two multiple times, and 95% of the OC beat you on the ACT.

I was just using my work computer and it got hit pretty hard. I got like 29 infections. Needless to say, I will only be checking Ohio Chatter via phone in the near future

Do the virus warnings give any sort of url or anything? The only way anyone would be getting a virus triggered would be from adsense. If we can pinpoint the ads that are triggering them I can block those ads from being showed. The only way would be to figure out which urls they are coming from.

No, no warning. I was typing in the NBA season thread and then my computer starter freaking out. Because it is my work computer, it locked up right away and would not let me do anything else. It scanned the computer and said there were 29 viruses, but I did not get a chance to try and get rid of them.

I just shut it down because we can't make changes to software without a password. Smh.

When it was scanning I saw a lot of Trojans and malware though.

No clue where they came from. Hopefully we can this stuff fixed soon

Just scanned my computer and got nothing..and I dont have any type of special antivirus.. I use avast! free antivirus. Lay off of the porn.

I run Mozilla and adblock on my computer and haven't had virus problems in a long time

Started up my work computer tonight and checked the Chatter with it. Have Internet Explorer and no Adblock and within 30 seconds I had a bunch of viruses.

Thanks for your concern though

I just hit the OC hard on my PC that runs no anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-anything software using IE7, IE8, and IE9 and got nothing. I checked multiple threads in every single forum. Nothing.
