From What I hear Coach Schrock met Judy Robinson and came away believing that Judy was sincere with her apology. The forced resignation was just bad timing on her part.

In my opinion Keib is the jack@ss behind the this all. Hopefully the bored get's rid of him and make someone that wants to be in Smithville and cares the new principal.

I think the Coach B conspiracy theories are wrong. Glad I stayed away from that one.

And I'm pretty sure we'll see the Head Coach of 250 wins get on a plane to Florida next month or drive.

I am also hearing now that it is the principal that was behind this even though initially it looked like the school board was involved too. I will be shocked if Keith comes back know especially after reading his daughters posts. I am also hearing that Brent might not be interested now either after having been accused of being involved with this mess which will be a shame because he was our best option to replace Schrock when he retired and the kids really like playing for him.

The question now will be.....who in the heck are they going to get to coach our Smithies next year? I have been watching the upcoming seniors since they were in the pee wee league over in Wooster and this class has a ton of good athletes. If you look at all three classes, there is actually more speed on this team then we have seen in some time. The only question will be the play of an inexperienced o-line and d-line. I hope they make the right choice for the sake of these seniors because they could accomplish a lot next Fall if they have a good staff guiding them.

There are boatloads of coaches out there that would love this job. I am sure there is one that will do well with these boys in that bunch. I agree with you about next year also and the seniors.

I know Coach B is applying for the Wooster job, I also hope Smithville gets the right guy if Schrock is done. Coach B would have been the perfect choice but now with the whole controversy I cannot blame him if he does not apply.

Dennis may be Interested....if you can lure him away from Rittman.

I definitely hope all of this is coming to an end. It's sad to see such a tradition-rich program go through a situation like this. For the sake of the Smithies, I hope Besancon keeps his name in the running for the job. He's definitely the right guy to follow up Schrock's hall of fame career, and he already has established rapport with the kids on the team. However, I'm sure the rest of the league wouldn't mind if he headed to Wooster It would give everyone else a better chance to win the league.

People need to back off with wild speculation until some facts come out. Some on here are just blaming Keib because he is from somewhere else. That sort of makes us Wayne Countians look like provincial hicks. I think this probably comes from a little higher up than the Principal.

Agreed. Even if principal was involved, higher ups had to be involved as well. Seem odd the super claims she didn't know what was in coachs review before presenting it to him? Why is she presenting information at all then? This all has a very bad stink to it. Hope that it all does come out in the end. there needs to be change at many levels in this district.

New to the site, post on some others frequently, although it appears someone took my name. But regardless here are my thoughts on the situation:

I have been waiting to respond. Waiting to see if more info came out to justify this. All I can think of is our Principal has zero credibility judging from past experience, our interim superintendent is trying to play power games and our BOE is either incompetent, spineless, or some combination. I would gladly see them ALL fired. This school system is deteriorating in front of our eyes and it has been for several years. Remember when our band was huge, our school spirit was high, our test scores were highest in the county? This is more than football. These idiots on the board hired these people with their shady background and its ridiculous. Its more than just coach, ask someone what happened with Mrs. Bogner. When the time comes for me to choose a house(and my tax dollars) and its still the same, all I can say is my children will be wearing red(Norwayne) before I put them into this district and their decision making. I hope they enjoyed seeing tax dollars flee from the district.

i actually heard something that keib wanted dennis to come to smithville and be the coach before he went to rittman..no joke. I guess keib and dennis are pretty good friends from what i heard and both knew eachother while dennis was at london.

i would rather knock off the state champs than join them! gotta feeling norwayne might be D3 the next time enrollment figures come out! i am willing to bet that norwayne will pass orrville in enrollment in the next 4-5 years.

Thedemoralizer cracks me up. Before you know it Norwayne is going to be D1. Ha Ha. Norwayne is currently 5 boys away from being D5. They will drop down into D5 when they do the next count. They were pushed up into D4 because of the size of this years senior class. D3.....you crack me up
