Our contract situation after this season is beautiful.

Players under contract for next season:

Andy
Luke (expiring after next season)
Boobie (team option, probably won't be picked up)
Kyrie
T2
Omri Casspi

That's it. The Cavs shed 25 million+ off their cap and you could another ~5 million to that if they decline Boobie....

The season after next is even crazier.

Only Andy, Kyrie, T2, and Omri will be under contract for the Cavs

That's pretty crazy. Shows you how shitty Ferry was at keeping picks and making good ones when he had them.

The more I watch Davis the more I want him in Cleveland. Hopefully they can get lucky or trade up.

Well, to be fair, we usually were picking late due to our record. However, he did draft Shannon Brown and Danny Green.. Sadly, that same regime is the one who didn't give them a fair chance.

Shannon went on to play well for the Lakers and Danny Green is doing the same for the Spurs now.

Yeah Green looks like a solid role player, he'd be nice to have back.

Is Baron's contract still on the books next year or does that get wiped off?

If the Cavs can somehow sneak the number 1 pick by pure luck again this year and we get Anthony Davis, we'll be a force for the next 15 years.

A lot of people on here want Harrison Barnes #1 overall. That would be a disaster, I'd rather have Davis. Trade the entire team outside of Irving for Davis if you have to.

If there's a lottery to play and try to win, it's the NBA lottery. Here's hoping the Cavs get picks #1 and #2. Get Davis and Beal. Cavs would win a championship in 3 years or less.

I feel like a guy like Kyrie could bring the best out of Barnes who has a lot of potential but no way would anyone take him #1 at this point.

Just finished watching the Cavs game.....Holy Sh#t!

I'm all about the tank but this is shit is terrible. There was a brief stretch where the lineup on the court was Sloan, Hudson, Walton, Casspi and Erden.

I think they have a home game with the Bobcats coming up soon but after that I dont think they win again

I heard an interesting discussion today...about how to build an organization. Many people believe that OKC has the perfect blueprint for today's game, but then someone said that the Spurs are the team that has it right. You build by getting mid to late round picks that fit your system. It was interesting to listen to, although, I think you need that superstar like what OKC has now.

Cavs are really working hard for a top 3 pick next year.

Anything that gives us a shot at Davis or MKG

I am in the minority, but I would take MKG or Davis everyday.

I think the Spurs kinda did both, they just got their superstar early and built around him. Tony and Manu were great picks but that doesnt happen often.

I think OKC route is the way to go

You mean draft a hofer, then surround him by talent (or initially have him play with a veteran hofer)? Yeah sounds like a good blueprint.

Cavs currently sit in the 4th position.....doubt they can close the gap much more
