Great read on Kyrie in SI this week. I like him even more now.

I agree its great to hear about Irving. I'm gun shy now though, used to read similar fluff pieces on LBJ as well. Hard for me to believe it.

The Cavaliers will take the garish numbers, but they also appreciate Irving's modest gestures. He showed up to his introductory press conference with an entourage of one, his dad. He moved into a downtown apartment instead of a suburban mansion. The first thing he bought with his new contract was a pair of dress socks. "They were kind of expensive," Irving says. "Big-boy purchase." He goes out for dinner with rookie forward Tristan Thompson, drafted three spots after him, but they avoid VIP rooms. "We don't feel entitled," Thompson says. The day after the Cavs beat Boston, the fourth-grade class at Center Elementary School in Mayfield Heights stopped by the team's practice facility for a fitness program, and Irving joined in with a pink jump rope. When the event was over, he stuck around and played one-on-eight with the kids, exchanging G-rated trash talk. A club official finally had to remind him the Celtics were back in town the next day. "You wouldn't know he's the Number 1 pick," says guard Anthony Parker. "I think that's what this organization likes most."
Awesome stuff.

Kyrie was brought up in a great environment and knows what loyalty and respect truly means. Kyrie is already more mature mentally than LeBron is.

Damnit

Reed, Boyer
@PDcavsinsider

#Cavs rookie Kyrie Irving missed shootaround on Friday because he is ill. It will be a game-time decision whether he can play against Bulls

Don't really recall reading shit like that about LeBron as a rookie, or really thru his career. It was more of a penis sucking fest for LeBron.

I haven't seen Kyrie wear Yankees hat yet. LeBron was wearing his very soon after he was drafted.

Saw on ESPN Insider that Memphis and Cleveland could potentially do a OJ Mayo for Ramon Sessions swap.

Memphis is looking for back-up PG help and OJ wants out. It would also get them under the luxury tax threshold.

This would give Cleveland a legit scoring threat next to Kyrie and half a season to see how it works. If they don't like what they see, OJ simply walks in the offseason since he's a restricted FA.

This would be a great move, no reason not to give it a try. Less Parker will be a good thing.

This should've been done yesterday if true

I think this would work for us, maybe this could happen before the deadline.

Cavs Recieve:
D.J Augustine
2012 1st Round Pick
DeSagana Diop

Bobcats Recieve:
Ramon Sessions
Anthony Parker
Semih Erden
2013 2nd round pick

My logic behind this is that for the Wine And Gold, we need a center to backup or even start over Varejao. We would also need a solid backup center, who we could then use as trade bait to get lottery picks. And we would also be getting a 1st round pick for the upcoming draft, which we could tab another young stud.

For the Bobcats, Sessions could start since Augustine is gone, as he has solid up-side. Since they would be giving up Diop, we should give them Erden in return. Parker is old, so we could and should give him for young money in return. If they aren't convinced by then, the second rounder seals the deal IMO.

This probably won't happen, but it is quite possible and would help us.

No way in the world does Charlotte trade away their 1st rounder. Possible #1 pick and probable top 3?

How the F is Diop in the league?
But its good to see the Cavs finally sucking. They need another lottery guy they dont need to get waxed in the playoffs.

Few more things on the Mayo rumors

In the past year, Memphis Grizzlies guard O.J. Mayo's name has appeared in more than few rumors of possible trades. It appears that he'll have to deal with yet another one.
Sports Illustrated has it that the Grizzlies are "looking for a No. 1 pick" in exchange for the man who was the third overall pick in the 2008 draft out of USC.
Mayo now comes off the bench for the Grizz and has been delivering this year. He is averaging 24:30 minutes, 11.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He's averaging 44 percent for his three-pointers (much higher than his 38.1 percent average) and he scored a career-high six in a game last weekend. His rebounds-per-game is also up from 2.4 last season.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reported Monday that Mayo probably won't be moved. "Griz management isn't seriously thinking of dealing Mayo nor is his possible, restricted free-agent status this summer a major concern," the paper noted."Mayo likely will remain with the Griz this season because of his productivity and the Grizzlies' ability to control his future with the right of first refusal on contract offers."

Memphis Grizzlies trade O.J. Mayo to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Daniel Gibson and Omri Casspi

Mayo is playing well off the bench for the Grizzlies, but the club essentially has been trying to move him for nearly two years. With his qualifying offer for next season at a hefty $7.4 million, Memphis isn't sure what it wants to do with him. Making this trade would save them a headache. Gibson gives them the 3-point shooting Mayo has provided, and then some -- Mayo is a career 38 percent shooter from behind the arc, while Gibson has shot 42 percent. He also is poised, playoff-tested and cheaper than Mayo. Casspi is young, long and fairly athletic. He'd add to their depth off the bench.

While Mayo has been a good soldier as a sixth man, his competitive juices have to be telling him he's a starter. Remember, he averaged 18 points per game during his first two seasons. Cleveland is set at the point guard position for years to come with Kyrie Irving, and putting a shooter like Mayo beside him would give the Cavs a strong backcourt for the foreseeable future. They'd be set at the guard spots and free to concentrate on improving their front line.

Huh?
That trade makes zero sense for the Bobcats

We're creeping back on Toronto, New Jersey, Detroit, and Sacramento. So that's pretty exciting.

Charlotte, Washington, and New Orleans are probably completely out of reach though.
