So I've become big into Hookah. Since on deployment and visiting a lot of Asian and Middle Eastern countries, I come to find it's a huge thing over here. Not just some fadish under 21 like in the states. It's actually cultural. I actually enjoy smoking it and will be buying a few hookahs and shisha in my next port visit. So who else loves it?

Had a 2 hose Hookah in college. Used to wind down the nights with it, though it was usually just packed with the molasses we would substitute it with the herbal stuff on occasion. Said to be safer, but it wasnt nearly as good...so yeah, it probably was healthier.

And of course Marijuana got thrown in as well.

It's washed tabacco, which takes most of the nicotine out of it. It also is flavored by molasses. Different flavors such as grape, watermelon, mint, strawberry, etc. You typically have about an hour smoke session. It makes a ton and I mean a ton of smoke. Not harsh, nothing like cigarettes.

its amazing to see how many marines love partaking in the forbidden liberal, hippie, communist activity of smoking marijuana. reminds me of the one scene in Generation Kill where the Lt. talks about wanting to get hash sent to him in Iraq. funny stuff.

Not really that amazing when you consider the reasoning behind it being outlawed. It's no different than a marine having a beer really.

Probably not even as bad. I'd rather deal with a marine that is high and relaxed over a drunk and obnoxious marine.

It really is a travesty regarding the way the govt has pulled the wool over the eyes of the American public re: mj. Not the current govt of course but historically.

What gets me is the drug companies clamoring to get the synthetic thc formula down so it can be made available to the public. Watch them extol the benefits of thc once they do and then get the govt to outlaw mj altogether after that. It's ridiculous.
