Anyone been following the story on the MMA fighter that died in South Carolina during his pro debut? Dude had 5 kids, no insurance just a sad sad story:

I really don't understand why NY isn't allowing it. Do they not realize how much money they could make with a UFC PPV at MSG!?!?! Damn idiots.

Hey, I'm the first to say that the Fedor of the last couple years was "overrated" because he hadn't fought the "top" guys, but to say he "sucks" shows you know jack crap about MMA.

I wasn't surprised that he was released but I do like Jardine. I would like to see him in SF or Dream. He at least is exciting to watch and loves to brawl.

Okay, Fedor doesn't suck. But he is extremely overrated and is only hype. He would get destroyed by at least 7 of the top heavyweights in the UFC.

I just read that Strikeforce "released" Jake Shields. Shield wants to go to UFC as middleweight and wants his first fight against Anderson Silva.

I am excited for Shields to come to the UFC and see what he has against the best. After he survived the big right from Hendo in the first he flat out dominated him and I was very surprised by that, I truely favored Hendo in that fight.

I don't think Shields is a great striker but of course is a good wrestler however I thought Hendo would not only out strike but would out grapple and I was wrong.
