I'm still in shock. I mean I understand Werdum isn't a push over but I just never would've thought he would pull off a W against Fedor. I bet Dana is smiling right now.

Fedor is overrated.

I won $2000 thanks to Werdum!

Fedor and Dana both lost an awful lot of money tonight because the potential Lesnar/Fedor fight they couldn't strike a deal on went from being what would have potentially been the biggest (most financially lucrative) fight in the history of the sport to being not really a big deal if it ever does actually happen. On one hand I am sure Dana is thrilled Fedor finally got exposed, but on the other I am sure there is part of him that is not thrilled the legend died at the hand of someone other than Lesnar on a non-UFC pay per view.

Obviously this fight displayed that Fedor is beatable but the fact that you bet on Werdum just boggles the brain. I'd have to say you were pretty lucky.

"Emelianenko’s loss rocks MMA world"
http://sports.yahoo.com/mma/news;_ylt=Au6.CcCu31DGghLhwNLzJvE9Eo14?slug=dm-fedorfallout062710
Werdum (14-4-1) was knocked down in an opening flurry against Russia’s Fedor Emelianenko, generally considered the greatest MMA fighter in history. Werdum had no idea he even was punched but did recall locking on a combination triangle choke and armbar leading to what may go down as the most famous tapout in the history of the sport.

“I don’t remember the fight right now,” Werdum said. “I have to watch the fight. I like to watch my fight 15 times. Fedor punched me? I don’t remember. Maybe the punch affected my mind.”

That female referee should be fired. That fight should have been stopped about 5 different times.

I thought the female fight should have been stopped in the first round somewhere around the 4 minute mark. I give Finney credit though, when she was on her feet she was throwing her heart out even while getting her face hammered!! Cyborg is a dude LOL!

It's obvious that Feder had no respect for Werdum's submission skills. I was surprised to see such a veteran fighter make that mistake.

That fight can still be a big deal. Lesnar isn't undefeated is he? Neither was Fedor technically.

Ive been telling you guys for the past 2 years Fedor was over rated. The man dominated the sport before it became what it is today. Today all fighters need to be good on the ground and standing or atleast have take down defense. Fedor didnt look good against Rodgers and got tapped last night. He is protected by his team who dont let him fight the best guys. If he was a true warrior he would want a rematcha nd then move to the UFC to prove he is great but his comment after the fight is that he has 1 more fight in America (sounds like hes done and doesnt want to reprove himself.) Lesnar Carwin and Cain would all give him problems in the UFC.

Fedor is great on the ground and pretty damned good standing. Guys get caught sometimes. I'm sure he'll learn from it. I do kinda hate his management though.

Who has beat who doesn't make for a good comparison. Fedor smashed Arlovski. Werdum lost to Big Nog who Fedor has beat 2 times unanimously.
