And TMZ now saying Jones has been fired by Reebok. The guy has now been cut from Nike and Reebok, incredible.

He'll get them back once he comes back clean, i don't think that's a huge deal.

You're right though, UFC is going to push Rousey and McGregor like crazy now, especially if McGregor beats Aldo.

Jones comes off as a spoiled/entitled kid to me, hopefully this is the wake up call that he needs.

I'm not advocating for his actions...c'mon. I'm a fan who wants to see the best, that's all. I guess we will see what happens, but it's a dark time for the UFC. Not only 3 of the most popular, but maybe the most dominant as well in their classes (Jones, GSP, Silva). There were some prior dark days in UFC as well though, it's time to keep developing and marketing new talent.

This is an honest question... Are we even sure Jon Jones will be back in the UFC? The evidence against him in this case sounds pretty damming... at fault for an auto-accident... fleeing the scene of an accident... responsible for bodily harm to a civilian... found to have marijuana and paraphernalia in the automobile he was supposedly driving... multiple offenses/run-ins with the law.

Are we even sure Jones will fight again in the UFC?

Yes, from what I have read he is most likely to get at most probation. Could be settled out of court as well.

If the UFC wants to get back to the true Glory days of about 5 years ago all they have to do is have fewer cards with bigger names in them. There are guys fighting on PPV that would t even have been in the UFC 5-7 years ago. It has grown to big for itself. The problem is Im guessing the amount their losing isn't more then the amount their making by going into the new markets and additional shows. Expansion has hurt the UFC for American fans but now places like Brazil, Mexico, and Europe can host events

Plus when Jon Jones fight again what do you do have one fight then boom he goes back for his title in a super hyped fight. The UFC loses nothing by stripping him of his belt unless they cut him altogether or the suspension is like 18 months. If it's a 6 month suspension it's basically a 1 fight penalty and the. He has to fight for the title again.

That will never happen. More cards = more $$$.

I gotta believe if Jon Jones ever fights again in the UFC, his first bout will be for the title again, unless he switches weight classes.

With each one out it definitely gets harder to get the casual fans to watch. Might as well throw Cain on this list, hasn't he been hurt longer than GSP has been out? ha. If you think of the current champions, aside from Rousey, who is a polarizing figure (not counting Jones)?

I think Cerrone needs the belt or Pettis needs to be champ again and i think McGregor has to beat Aldo. As for the other champs, I really think the UFC needs to start promoting them in a big way. I think it would be easy to do with guys like Lawler and DC/Anthony Johnson. Those guys hit like mack trucks and always have exciting fights (Lawler isn't the most personable, but really cool story). I think it's tougher with guys like Mighty Mouse, Dillashaw, and Weidman. Guys who have less of a personality.

When the UFC got all seven champions together four years ago they were Cain, Bones, Anderson, GSP, Edgar, Aldo, and Cruz.

Aldo is the only one still the champ, but only Anderson and Edgar lost their belts in the cage. That's either crazy bad luck, or the nature of the business.

Mark Hunt might be the toughest motherfucker I've ever seen, just took a complete ass whooping from Stipe Miocic and didn't quit. Fight should have been stopped after the third round though. Hell of an event in Australia.

Only 1 or 2 decisions on the entire card, always nice, especially when there aren't many big names carrying it.

I think Stipe Miocic is the real deal. He went 5 Rounds with Junior dos Santos (Lost Decision) and has basically steam-rolled everyone else. Here's to hoping Stipe gets another shot.

I'm impressed with him, has really good stand up and boxing, good footwork, great cardio and really good wrestling. Might be a good test for Cain.

UFC has confirmed former TUF contestant Corey Hill has passed away at age 36. He had the worst leg break I have ever seen worse then Silva. Friends and family are denying he has passed away so a weird story.

I saw at first it was reported that he passed and now they are saying that he is still fighting for his life so IDK.

Interesting fight. Romero is exactly the type of guy Machida has made a career out of destroying, but I'm not sure he hasn't slipped.
