I still say he seems fake to me. Not that it really matters, dude wins fights but you can tell he's trying to be what he/his people think is the image of the "perfect fighter". And I'm not talking about in his fighting style there but with his personality. I don't think that's very admirable. I like people who are themselves.

Of course that's entirely speculation from me and maybe he is actually like that but I doubt it.

As a fighter though you have to admire his skills.

Bones completely dominated Rashad, wasnt even close. Evans landed like 5 solid shots the entire fight.


Also for those pulling for Evans talking about Jones being cocky, Evans might be the cockiest fighter in the UFC lol

It's been a rough path for me with Rashad but I don't dislike him anywhere near the amount I used to. I couldn't stand him from the time he was on TUF as a fighter until the time he was a coach against Rampage. I kind of liked him after the season but then he bored me to death when he fought Rampage. I don't mind him now but he isn't one of my favorite fighters or anything. Bones is a beast but for some reason I just don't care for him. I don't know what it is really.

This. Bones is very, very talented. But he's pretty much unlikeable. It's not that he seems like a thug or anything like that but he doesn't seem genuine at all.

I like him.. Seems like you say the same shit about Jones after every fight. Whatever.

I didn't see Jones blatantly showboat inside of the ring like Rashad Evans did tonight. Jones was composed, humble, and dominate.

Rashad is one of my least favorite fighters, I was hoping Jones completely destroyed him and finished it early, however, it's pretty hilarious that Jones just toyed with him for the last 4 rounds and still dominated. The total # of strikes thrown and landed were incredibly lop sided in Jones' favor.

No matter what you do people are always gonna find a fault with you. So far Jones has handled his success wonderfully. He has earned the right to be way more cocky then he is and people still find faults with him. Everything I have seen or read shows a fighter with a great work ethic who respects the sport and his opponents.

Never said I liked Rashad.

And Jones has stayed the same in the way that I, and it isn't just me, dislike him so it makes sense that I've said the same thing.

Excellent fighter, not someone I like though.

I still have no idea what you're even talking about when you say he isnt genuine. He acts like a professional athlete should act during interviews so you think hes putting on an act and being "fake". But if he was himself and disrespectful and what not(that is IF thats actually how he is...which i doubt), youd dislike him for being a douche. So its really a lose lose for him in your opinion

I honestly don't get it either. I've not seen any examples. Just a couple of posters saying he seems "fake.".. I was watching with a group of friends and the only person who was rooting against Jones was a BIG Rashad Evans fan.

Don't want to bring religion to this thread, but reading you other posts on other thread think you maybe biased? The same could be said for OSH's and myself being fans of Jones, just wondering.

Weird match making for Rory, his last four opponents have been Condit, Diaz, Pyle and now Mills. He keeps getting a step down in competition despite winning, or putting on a really good performance vs Condit.

I'd say dos Santos wins easily he is actually a bigger favorite in Vegas then jones was over evans

I am going with dos Santos as well.

Never been a fan of Mir. He could get rocked quickly and easily...unless he can get it to the ground.
