It's Clobberin Time!

As for the GSP/Silva thing. I've got people telling me on other message boards that GSP would do him what he's done to everyone, wrong. Some people are saying GSP will do the exact samething Sonnen did to Silva, wrong again. The reason GSP can't do what Sonnen did is because GSP is a cautious fighter. Sonnen comes out balls to wall for every single round, GSP doesnt. The reason Sonnen did so well is because he didn't let Silva feel him out, so he pushed the pace the entire time and Silva never felt comfortable, GSP won't come out and push the pace like that he just wont. The last thing, the size difference. This is a big thing to think about. GSP is 5'11 and about 185-190 on fight normally, and Silva is around 6'2 210/215. Thats a huge size difference if you ask me. I have to bring in Sonnen again, he used his wrestling to dominate and punish Silva, while GSP's wrestling is more for controlling and smothering.

Just my two cents.

...find 9-10 people that also like UFC, have them come over and pitch in $5 to help cover the cost...then it is cheap and you get to see it on TV.

We usually have between 8-15 people over that all donate the money and then everyone brings snacks/drinks to share...good times!

So much more fun watching with a big group too!

That is what my friends usually do but it's hard to keep up because most of my guy friends are whipped and they "can't seem to make it" every other time lol. We never have 8 to 15 people but I never minded paying 5 or 10 a piece. So I usually just buy the better ppv's at my house for my own viewing.

Agreed. I honestly think Silva would win. I don't know how or how easily but I think he would.

Could GSP beat Silva? Sure, but he would have to fight the perfect fight and thats a long shot.

He can survive short stretches on the feet, but would be at serious risk each time. I think he would be able to hit Anderson some but based on his history would not be able to hurt him.
He can take him down as well but wouldn't be able to hold him there for long at all. Koshcheck got right back up, and Thiago Alves probably got up from his back about 10x in their fight. The only was GSP wins is if he can survive on the feet, and get lots of takedowns in between. I think over 25 minutes Anderson would catch him and get the win though.

Sonnen is at it again.

Sonnen: Wand looks like Lisa Rinna with a Leprechaun beard
Wanderlei Silva was recently interviewed about protential fights with Wanderlei Silva and Chris Leben and said of the former:

"With Sonnen, he is more wrestling. I trained with him one time at Xtreme Couture and I killed him there. I think he is a good opponent for me."

Amazingly, Sonnen took the opportunity to fire back.

You killed who? I was taking it easy on you. Ya looked like Tammy Faye Baker. I went easy so that new face of yours wouldn't fall off.

More guys have worked on your face than it took to build the Pyramids. You look like Lisa Rinna w/a Leprechaun beard, you fool.

You are a walking punchline. Go fight what's left of Sakuraba in an alley behind a sushi place in Tokyo for 10 Yen apiece.

If it wasn't for me, you would be thrashing around the jungle w/a blowgun trying' to catch breakfast.

So a word to the UNWISE. DON'T TALK ABOUT ME. You don't have the words, I DO. You just got burried. Now run along or I'll do worse tomorrow.

Wanna talk some more about killing me in the gym, y'idiot?

You're lucky your brother Joe's the matchmaker or you'd be sellin' barbecued monkey on the street in Manaus.

Not that I've heard. I read where they were going to try and get him on the January 29th card but nothing is set. Alistair Overeem is fighting at Dynamite next week.

Strikeforce has actually talked about a heavyweight tournament, in which Valentin Overeem has called for a fight with Fedor.
