Doug Devault was on the staff when Wooster rolled you guys in 1993, 34-10. That was under Gary Green...who was a heckuva defensive coordinator but just went through a period of not enough athletes to complete against the bigger schools of the Federal League.

I remember that year clearly...sorry I left that one out. Mr. Stoudmire ran around, over, and through us that evening.CCRolly;1013662 wrote:Doug Devault was on the staff when Wooster rolled you guys in 1993, 34-10. It is possible that one of Harbour's assistants would like the job too.

Lachance or Indorf would be the only two with enough chops to be a legit HC.

Mark Solis' name seems to always come up when there's a local opening. Hes had some short tenures at a couple of stops...makes you wonder...but he's also resurrected some programs.

I'd contact Solis also...no harm in doing so. Nothing wrong with sending out some feelers...

Too early to speculate on future of all the present Wooster assistant coaches. As w/ any change it will be up to the new head coach to evaluate possible assistants but I'd expect to see a number of new assistants as well (Joe Gantz being one). Andy Kellar and Co. are really going to open this search up and see what applications roll in. We'll check back w/them soon to see what the search plan is and give updates when we can. Seems to me w/ Wooster being one of 2 biggest schools in OCC it should be in title hunt most years (not tied for 7th like this year) - there's a lot of potential there and some good classes coming from what I hear. Kellar already making things happen besides directing changes in coaching - he's added away-home contract w/ Chagrin Falls next 2 yrs in Week 3 to replace Akr. Ellet. WHS needs to upgrade non-lg sked, he said. You don't want too tough a schedule for your team, but Generals had it too easy IMO w/ City Series walk-throughs and Mt. Vernons in recent years.

I'd like to see Thom McDaniels take the program over.

Mount Vernon is usually a good team to have on your schedule at least until the past few years. The City Series needs to come to an end.

I love the addition of Chagrin Falls to the schedule. Will certainly be a nice challenge to have before opening OCC play.

Please review my post regarding the lack of credibility Orrville posters have in selecting the new Wooster coach.

You and McCreary should team up to do radio broadcasts. You both have the faces for it.

Spent many a night in the booth with old curly redhead. What a great guy. I used to engineer Bates' show in the afternoon from the AM studio. Loved his stories about coach Knight and Thomas. He wore that national championship watch with pride.THE4RINGZ;1014029 wrote:He could be the John Myers to my Roy Bates.
