Front page story in todays Times Rerporter,[Dover New Philadelphia] Oil companies are leasing buildings and land to store equipment. Boom expected to last 5 to 10 years minimum. Story relates that Dover Phila will be the hub as it sits roughly in the center and has the highway access to handle traffic.

I spoke to high profile local buisnesman a couple days ago he confirmed it is all going to happen,he never talks without facts and has had several meetings with high brass from the oil/gas industry.
The workers brought in will be bringing families as well, that means local retail sales will experiance a huge push.
The new interchange at Dovers north end will begin to pay dividends as it will provide easy acess to 77 with lots of ground available to build.
Unemployment will be zero unless you insist on staying on welfare or are truly disabled.

Biggest mistake right now may be the rejection of the Dover school levy,threw away 10 million state dollars This area is going to be awash in money,mark it down.

Hope so. This area has been going to shit industry wise with the shrinking of Gradall, Arizona Chemical, Belden Brick and others. We need the boost.

And the cementing is part of fracking. So if they aren't cementing properly then they're fucking up the ground water.

Cementing is not part of fracking. I'll be cementing Tuesday. Frack won't be for months. Learn before you teach.

One of my good friends just moved to ND to be a mechanic for some oil company.

Engineer or not I'm on a rig in ND now. Trust me having seen this boom 4 years ago (when I almost took a full time gig up here) to now, Ohio needs what's going on up here.

I was referring to fracking as the whole process. Obviously you know more than me about this.

But the point is that cementing has to be done for this whole process correct?

I don't care if it's the cementing or the fracking or whatever. If a part of the process is messing up the water then that needs to be fixed before doing it.

I'm drilling a well now that's 500 yards off of a lake and we're drilling under it. It's federal land so epa has jurisdiction. You're talking about private land. That's a state jurisdiction. But up here its not an issue.

Yep. I'd wait for a good deal though. First offer not necessarily the best. Shoot for 2k/acre and 15% orri.

$2,000 an acre and 15% royalties? That's low for what's happening in Ohio.

A Guernsey County group got $5,000 an acre and 20% royalties.

Big Mirg, if you actually have that land...join a landowners group. That'll help you get more buck.

I feel bad for the thousands of people that are locked under contract to Kimbles. They aren't getting shit from those crooks and they can't get out from it for a couple of years.
