One point dog away from the Schot is surprising, to me anyway.

Wait, you think they should be favored or it should be a larger spread?

What is his role with the program nowadays?

He's a basketball writer for ESPN, I believe.

Coach Boals told the O-Zone they'd evaluate Sullinger during warm ups and make the decision.

It isn't that I don't think they can win without him, it's more that I'm not so certain they've prepared long enough without him, a week isn't long enough to change things as drastically and be effective.

O-Zone reporter says everyone but Sullinger taking part in warm ups. Looks like he's definitely out.

My only concern with Sully is whether this is still precautionary? (you don't win a title by winning your 9th game anyway) or are things worse than we've been told?

Insider on another site is saying this is absolutely precautionary. They don't want it to become a chronic problem, so they're sitting him until the spasms are completely gone.

This is lose lose for Kansas now. Wouldve been fun to see them go against the Bucks healthy. A win is still a great resume builder, but still kinda sucks for everyone involved when the best player cant go.

Hope it's true, I can much more easily rationalize this to suit my needs. lol

I would like to think they are just being overly cautious. No reason not to.

Katz just reported it as well. He said Jeff Boals sent him a text. And speaking of Boals, does anyone else dislike him as much as I do?

Good resume builder for sure but honestly they won't be needing this win in order to "get in", they'll be in with or without it. A win for them will not produce any feathers for the cap though, it will be brought up that they won with Sully out, guaranteed.

Yeah, I wasnt really saying they were building a resume to get in. But your always trying to build it up. This win could be the difference between a 4 seed and say a 6, it could be that big.

Mostly saying, it helps them with a chance to win and help their resume, just sucks for both teams when the top player is out.

As for winning without Sully, it WILL be brought up. But they will still have beaten a #1 seed. It is still a big win. A win versus OSU w/o Sully is still better than a loss in triple OT to OSU w/him.

I knew you weren't saying they needed it, good point about the seeding though. Conversely, a loss by Kansas without Sully at home could do them a lot of damage.

Can't help but notice that at 3:02 pm, there are 9+ minutes left in this Sam Houston State-Montana State playoff game. You think they will switch over from this blowout at 3:15?

So most of the country won't see it until it's on TV. Great planning, ESPN.

I think we can still be okay without Sully for this one. I remember when the Bucks went down to North Carolina without Oden and gave the Heels a run for their money. I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happens today, only this time a Buckeye victory.

What could make it worse is that the game looks already decided. Sam Houston St up 49-13.
