I was a little bit intrigued by this system when it was announced, but after reading that sony is pulling a bullshit cash grab with the memory cards...32 gb cards are supposedly going to be $120...I think I will pass. I just wonder what everyone else's opinions are considering most have smartphones with gaming capabilities. Will this system flop or make it big?

It will flop just like the 3Ds did.

Interest isn't even that high in Japan supposedly, which is where handhelds are extremely popular. It's a safe bet that if it isn't popular in Japan, it won't be here either.

yeah, I am just thinking that considering that the smartphones can almost do the same graphics....that handheld gaming is on its way out.

Yeah, I keep reading that the price drops are happening on 3DS because of lack of sales.

They have not met their expectations for sales, Nintendo is set to post first yearly loss ever. So yes, it has flopped.

I'm torn because I really like the tech in this and think it could have some cool games and such but I know I'll never buy one or carry one around and I fear that many people are of the same opinion.
