High school football is so much about experience...and Norwayne got an extra half season in last year, at a very high level. That is a huge advantage on top of their talent. If a WCAL team beats them this season it will surprise me.
I hope Waynedale can be lucky enough to catch a win or two this season.

Glad to see the posters coming out now that the season is approaching. We have a special thing in this area. Let's keep the chatter rolling.

Bears have a nice set of skill players but lack experience and size on the line. Hopefully they can get a few wins, but its going to be tough in the "revamped" league with State Champion Norwayne, Possible State Champ Northwestern (post #1354 parents) and newly established short term perrenial power Hillsdale. The apparent new big 3....add in a Tri WCL defending Champ Smithville with God...er BB at the helm and a coming of age Dalton group....things are going to be tough in Bear Country.iced earth;1233981 wrote:High school football is so much about experience...and Norwayne got an extra half season in last year, at a very high level. Unless your buddy BRF checked it for you, you wouldn't know if it was spelled correctly. I highly doubt you were an Apple Creek spelling bee champ.1_beast;1234097 wrote:FWIW...I just bought my Bear Backer card....everything is spelled correctly.

I wonder what benefit having a Bear Backer Card gives an individual?
1. Buy ten yards of ribbon at Spector's, and get a free yard.
2. Free can of pop at the drive through with purchase of 3 large pizzas. (Mountain Dew not included in this offer).
3. Free cinnamon stick with purchase of $25 bulk food items at the Apple Creek Market.
4. Free upgrade to premium needles at the sewing machine center.
5. Unlimited sprinkles at The Golden Bear Ice Cream Shack.
Please tell us beast, how membership has its rewards...

They obviously are not feeding the kids in the district correctly anymore. Are there any 250-300 pounders that can play on this years roster? Back in the day we carefully loaded our bodies with Little Kings cream ale and El Rancho Grande Pizza ( back when it had real goats milk cheese and was better than any around). We never had any problem getting up to playing weight!1_beast;1234096 wrote:Bears have a nice set of skill players but lack experience and size on the line. They have a few of those roaming the halls I'm sure... They are just playing Call of Duty instead of Football.iced earth;1234481 wrote:They obviously are not feeding the kids in the district correctly anymore. Winning=Gold Medal
Runner-up = Silver Medal
Apparently you didn't win the logic bee either.

For those that haven't seen it yet, here is my interview with new Wooster football head coach Doug Haas.
Also, I just finished editing my interview with Norwayne's Joe Harbour and will be publishing it sometime Saturday morning. Stay tuned! Lots of good information.
I have sent interview requests to 2 other area coaches. If you think your head coach would be interested, or want me to check with him, please let me know his phone number or email address! Thanks! I'm especially looking for Smithville, West Holmes, Hillsdale, and others. Thanks!
