They are not even running their Offense in the 3rd and 4th quarters, they run the JV O. They run the ball up the middle. It is not their fault when they have their 2nd and 3rd string RB in the game against Waynedal and Rittmans 1st string and they go up the middle for 20 or more yards. By the middle of the 3rd most of the OLine is either 3rd or even 4th stringers, and by the 4th the O and D is made up of Freshmen.
Trust me if Norwayne was running up the score us "Fence Huggers" would let the Coach know. We have had it done to us many times in the pass and we didnt like it.
The Coaches are not trying to run the score up, i.e..Norwayne had the backup QB in #7 during the Waynedale game, it was a busted play fumble #7 picked it up and could have very well ran 60 yards untouched for a TD, but you could hear all the coaches on the sidelines yelling "Go Down" and he went down with a 5 yard game. That showed class to me. I can promise you this, this team could care less about padding stats they want to win the WCAL and make a run for another State Championship!! There was a quote on this site awhile back saying they were trying to pad the stats for Zimmerly, that is Hog Wash, if anybody knows this young man he is a TRUE team player and could care less about his stats he wants to win!!!!! He has the stats to play at the next level he doesnt need anymore!!!!
I agree that Norwayne is not purposely running up the score......the rest is pure propaganda

I will totally agree that, outside of last year's video escapade, the Bobcats seem to be playing the game the right way in terms of sportsmanship and humility. For those fans that were hoping to top last year's scoring record, the next two weeks could be crucial.

Are the Bobcats' 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stringers that much better than other teams' starters? Or as someone else said, is it that the subs are fresh, playing against tired, worn out, demoralized starters?
After reevaluating that sentence, I have changed it up a little bit. I didn't mean to come down hard, more of a tongue-in-cheek thing. But my goal is not to ruffle any feathers.

Pitman....I take issue with your use of the words "the", "and" & "football". Please stop using them to avoid rustling my feathers:laugh:
write what you feel.......you will never be able to make everyone happy.

IMO...your best post ever.

^^^that would be exciting

I've watched this pretty closely and I think Bobcat14 has a son on the team. He gets pretty fired up. If Norwayne was running Zimmerly up by 50+ in the 3rd then they were running up the score. If #7 is the backup QB and they were yelling at him to get down then that's probably because he is also an outstanding WR. I believe #7 starts at WR from when I watched the Rittman game. He is very good. They probably didnt want him to get hurt. I also heard they had the other WR in at QB in the 3rd and he ran for a long TD. Why didnt they tell him to get down? I dont think it's an accident that a certain players dad is the Principal at the school and the staff is "gettin him a little extra". That's what makes the world go round boys
a very logical and unbiased view.......I predict complaints will be filed against you soon.

WOW!!!......smithie fans tried to get a helicopter to dry the field and reduce their chances of victory!!!
What happened at the last minute?....no, let me guess.....the smithie chopper had to deliver food to hungry children in the Sudan.
now I've heard it all.

Sorry, but I don't care if Norwayne beat's Smithville by 70, I wouldn't want to see them do that.
agreed.....whatever happens......happens.
The only way I see an excuse for purposely not scoring with your 3rd & 4th stringers is if the next score will put you in triple digits thus attracting the kind of state and national media attention neither school would want.
