When the winning starters come out in the 3rd quarter and the jv/fresh go in they are fresh and ready to play hard. That isn't a bad thing, however, the losing starters have played all game and are tired. I think this combination increases their chance for injuries that will limit them the next week. Dalton had numerous injuries Friday, all during the game, but the majority in the second half and two in the 4th quarter. Including one that sent a player to Akron. I hope we have enough back to be able to handle Rittman next week. So, should the losing coach get his guys out of there when the winning team takes out the starters? I know what the players say, they just want to keep playing. I don't really know that there is a good answer to this dilemma, but just offering another viewpoint of when to replace starters.
we are limited on kids so it's hard for us to pull all our starters out ! remember we have alot of soph on the field starting . in years past these kids would be playing jv not varsity !!
