I am 100% in agreement.
The Bell was created overseas by slave labor, illegally shipped here, and should be melted in the fires of hell.

ANYMORE NAMECALLING, THREATS, PROFANITY, ETC. WILL RESULT IN A NO-QUESTIONS-ASKED THREAD BAN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON, AND POSSIBLY MORE, DEPENDING ON THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM.

NOW, LET'S ALL GET BACK TO TALKING ABOUT THE YOUNG MEN'S GAMES WE'RE EXCITED TO SEE THIS YEAR.

I used to come to this sight to really talk about Football, but you have to scroll through pages of inside jokes and mad ramblings just to see one or two posts about the games. I guess I am just too old school! Smithville will have their hands full with Moggy this week. If the Smithie line plays the way they did last week it is going to be a LONG night. It just seems that the intensity is not there, maybe Coach B can get this turned around.

They have too much inexperience to think they can just show up and win the game with Bucyrus. From looking at the news journal it appeared that Bucyrus's QB led them in rushing, passing and scoring. Hillsdale slows him down they should be ok, IMO. But if the Hillsdale kids are satisfied with a nice win over Manchester then Friday could be a rude awakening. Need to show up every game, earn everything on the field. That being said I think the Hillsdale coaches will have the boys ready. Lots of excitment over in Falcon country.
In the immortal words - Right!

I do think we watched a lot of players "grow up" last Friday and they found if they dig deep they can over come a good team. Bucyrus will not be a cake walk but if they play with the intensity they had last week, it will be a W.

NWN will drag black river all over the field this Friday. Book it.
Ummm... I wouldn't book it. I did pick northwestern this week BUT.... I saw the game film for NWN/Crestview.... The first offensive drive Crestview dominated NWN easily right down the field for 6 after completely shutting them down on D. First drive of the 2nd half same thing. Crestview's lack of stamina and blown secondary assignments led to the blow out. I still hold the opinion that Crestview is a .500 team when they play well in a weak conference and NWN is better but not much more. Sticking with my 7-3/8-2 mark.

My point... Black River will not be tired and I doubt that they will blow as many coverages as Crestview. (NWN could have had two more touchdowns for sure because of a deep safety not playing deep) You'd be wise to not bet the farm on NWN. This is a toss up game.

I think Northwestern will win this one if they can throw and it appears that they can. Norwayne threw for 5 TD's in 2 quarters against BR in a scrimmage. The DB"s appeared to be confused the entire scrimmage. Throwing opens up the running lanes and Norwthwestrn has good running backs. I say the Huskies by at least 2 TD's

Hillsdale is interesting to me. With all of the losses they appear to be coming together nicely. I would be careful however, I'm not sure how good Manchester really is. My understanding is they lost the biggest part of last years team also and that the outlook is not very optimistic from alot of the Panther faithful. You either have the players to fill those holes or you dont and many believe they dont. It will be interesting to see if the big QB is enough to carry them all year or not. They get thrown back into the fire this week against a Woodridge team that destroyed CVCA.....the favorite to win the PAC

It's always difficult when predicting Week 2 games. Week 1 always has some surprises, you think the teams are going to come out all fired up and prepared to win, then some teams come out flat and lose. Week 2 is a good test to see which teams can regroup and some other teams get exposed.

Thanks O-Trap, I know it must be difficult to keep an eye on this site, but all the guys that really want to talk football or about the up coming games seem to be leaving this site because, a "few" seem to dominate it with talk about everything else but Football! Keep up the good fight!

i have a pretty hard time figuring out the wcl at this point - who is for real and who is not.
Norwayne rolled a usually solid wellington team - they are good, no question.
Northwestern beat a crestview team that by most accounts is not very good, but they beat them fairly convincingly. I'm leaning towards "for real", but I'm not convinced yet.
Hillsdale had an impressiv ewin on the road, but it also sounds like this is a manchester team that is not nearly as good as normal - still to win at their place is tough.
Waynedale lost a close game to TV, who is probably average at best
Dalton lost to Garaway by a similar margin as last year, but made a very explosive pirate squad work for it.
Smithville lost somewhat convincingly to a loudonville team that sounds pretty good.
I am convinced chippewa and rittman just arent good.
At this point, norwayne, rittman and chippewa are the only teams I have definite opinions about. The next couple weeks should shake this out a little more.

^^ I would have to agree. I think we'll learn a lot more after this week with the following matchups:
Galion at Chippewa
Tuslaw at Dalton
Bucyrus at Hillsdale
Black River at Northwestern
CVCA at Norwayne
Cleveland Knights at Rittman
Smithville at Mogadore
Ridgewood at Waynedale

Who's gonna take this backyard brawl?
i think we have chance . .but same as last wk we have to take care of the ball ,and we can't come out flat in the 2nd half like last wk !!! long drives finish with a score .
