Monte Ball: 36 touchdowns (second most in NCAA history), with a good chance to break Barry Sanders record. 1622 yards rushing before tonight.
Trent Richardson: 23 total TDs, 1583 yds rushing.
One is pretty much the consensus Heisman favorite right now, while the other is hardly mentioned. GTFO

I just posted this question in the b1g champ game thread. I have no idea why he's getting no love. Doubt it's "sec bias" though.

Richardson could put up those numbers against Wisconsin's schedule if he had a coach that enjoys running up the score.

Probably true. It's really hard to argue with thirty-six touchdowns.karen lotz;999699 wrote:Richardson could put up those numbers against Wisconsin's schedule if he had a coach that enjoys running up the score.
Also, it's Montee Ball folks.

Wisconsin lost to a horrible team that eliminated any of its players from Heisman consideration.

Well then FOX is full of shit as they just showed a stat during the B1G game that stated Richardson had 1,910 total yards and that it ranked 2nd in FBS.LJ;999744 wrote:Huh? He is 8th

Truth. And what does the SEC have to do with anything? Luck is in the convo and he does it against nobodies. He doesnt play in the SEC.karen lotz;999699 wrote:Richardson could put up those numbers against Wisconsin's schedule if he had a coach that enjoys running up the score.

Okay. Trent Richardson was a legit preseason Heisman candidate, Ball wasn't. Typically this is a factor - fair or not.Pick6;999739 wrote:As does Ball. Try again.

I personally find it pretty hard to almost discount somebody completely who has 33% more touchdowns and more total yards than the leading candidate, but thats just me.

Me too. Esp when he has a 191 overall passer rating. Although wilson has a 192.... RG3 has 1000 more passing yards and 8 more tds coming into this weekend
