I came on here to discuss the Mooney-Shawnee game only to see the thread is locked.

Why are there moderators if they don't, you know, moderate? Why is obvious trolling even tolerated on here? Ya ya I get it.....we don't want to be JJ Huddle and "gong" people for stupid stuff. But seriously, discussion on here blows, especially when we're all graced with skank's presence so he can spit out his usual hate. And he's not the only one. I have to ask.....if someone isn't adding to the level of discussion on this site, and quite to the contrary, actually ruins discussion on the site, why is it tolerated? Why is there no moderation from the moderators? Is it that hard to tell someone "stay off the threads about Team X or you're gonna get run"? Locking threads after the discussion has already sunk to the level of a 3rd grade playground fight is not moderation, its sanitation.

And don't give me the "if you don't like what they say, ignore them". That's not even possible. Once one person responds, its all over.

Maybe its just the Mooney threads, I don't know. But if we can't even discuss the freaking state championship game, ON STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY, then what the hell is this site for exactly?

I was moderating from my phone at the time, which gives me limited functionality, thus closing it was the best option.

Now that I'm home (and got a couple messages about it), I'm able to do more to address it and reopen it.

This is something that will be addressed and handled better next season as well. I agree that the discussions in most threads this year was terrible.

i wish there were more Massillon fans on here for me to talk with, but there isnt. But Massillon threads cant even be started either, without getting out of hand. Thus, i dont start any.

It is a subject that goes both ways. Two weeks ago I was giving full internet updates for all on the site for the Mooney game. Today, I chose to cheer for Shawnee and an un-named poster released a ridiculous attack that was unsuitable for a HS forum. You are right...this isnt JJ...but it isnt the playground either!

Not placing blame, or saying its right or wrong, but a lot of that is retaliation from your boy crapping on a bunch of the others threads.

Sorry son, if you had done your job, and moderated the Massillon thread from LAST year instead of allowing pages 2-20 or whatever go to pot, maybe this wouldn't have happened, why was it allowed on that thread?

It's either your obvious dislike for me, or for Massillon, whichever, it doesn't really matter. Heck, last years Massillon thread even had a certain moderator chiming in and slamming on myself and Massillon.

Sorry "son", but lets not act like it started with the Massillon thread. It was allowed on THAT thread just like it was all the other threads. Because of the lax in moderating because we didn't want to become to "JJ-esque" if you will. Then it gets out of hand, people start receiving troll points, and then they started whining about them getting points and nobody else receiving any and "bad moderating". When in fact, they didn't know if anyone else received any or not. Calling you out for your whining about receiving the troll point isn't "slamming" on you.

From a couple jokes I've made towards coyote about Massillon? Come on now. Am I saying I'm innocent? Nope, not at all. I've been involved in back and forth banter. There's a difference between doing it occasionally and then going into every thread to simply start crap. (Not saying that you did that)

I'm not going to blame anyone. I was just using that as an example in reply to coyotes post. There is quite a few posters that do it.

I find it "funny" that the word discussion is even in the title of this topic. I have read alot of the posts on this site and it seems most of the time, there is no discussion going on!, just hurling insults and calling names.

This seems to be a fine discussion here.

Yes, this one is a discussion, but just look at some other topics and and the responses.
