I fully expect LSU to win this game, but if they don't, it's hard to see how LSU or 'Bama could be in the NCG.

Let's not kid ourselves, LSU's defense is legit, but they're offense is only decent. Last week was not a normal occurrence. Arkansas's defense is horrible. If LSU goes up against a team with at the very least, a good and talented defense and a great offense, they are going to have a tough time. LSU beat the Pac-12 and Big East champs, as well as winning on the road over at worst (whether you think they're #2 or not) a top 5 team in the country. LSU gets more breaks than any team in the history of life. I'm sure in the next series they'll get an INT that will lea to some broken play that results in a 54 yard TD pass.
