They are different models. Football is a true team sport where individual identities are lost. Basketball is driven by the superstars. Fans might not like it, but I bet the league increases revenues with the more focus there is on the larger market teams. I understand why people oppose what is happening, especially Cavs fans. But the reality is that there will continue to be a larger and larger gap from the small market and large market teams.
