So, getting ready for an oil change I was at the store and forgot what grade oil my car took, so I ended up with 10-40 when it's supposed to be 5-30. Would there be any harm in using the 10-40, or should I go buy some more? It's a dodge.

By burn it away, he means your car will explode into flames killing everyone inside.

Good luck with dying.

If it we're summer time, I would say go ahead and use the 10W-40 since it's a warmer climate oil. With winter coming on I would buy the 5W-30 which is more for colder weather. It may be tougher for your oil pump to push 10W which is thicker in cold temps.

10W-40 is questionable for the winter

I would get the 5W-30 and not take the risk ,,,, not worth the potential damage

What dodge engine? If its a pre hemi truck engine drop it to 0-30 and make sure u let it warm up.

With as rich as you are I would have figured you'd at least have some holdings in Exxon or something or perhaps occasionally trade WTI when the price is right.

Good point. I actually do have quite a hefty position in Exxon Mobile.
