I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure he said the OC would be calling plays but he would call one every now and then. Can't find anything to verify that though.

I'll find the link to the presser transcript

I will hire a play caller offensive coordinator. I will call plays myself and be very involved in that like I've done in the past.

He kind of talks out of both sides of his mouth, but the gist you get is that Meyer will be calling the shots. If Mullen was still around, I think you might see him more hands off, but with no history of working with Herman, I tend to think his fingerprints will be all over the offense.

His QB's at ISU are TERRIBLE. They missed alot of wide open passes. One play, for example, the receiver was the only player on the right side of the field, and the QB threw it 5 yards over his head on an easy 5 yard out.

I take that to mean that the OC will call alot of the plays, but Meyer will be very involved and will call some plays as well. Meyer and Herman will consolidate their offensive philosophies to create an offense that works best for OSU personnel.

I don't take too much (well, nothing at all) away from North Carolina's D in their bowl or ISU's O in theirs...lame duck coaches, personnel, unfamiliar opponents, weeks off and bowl hype just to name a few reasons. None of it is worth concerning ones self over.

I've heard that rumor as well. Even after hearing it, it still doesn't make sense to me. He's the OC at LSU, the best team in the nation, and he took over for a guy with a condition that is not going to improve.

Why wouldn't LSU give him a new contract? They've struggled with their OCs in the past and they sent Crowton to the Citgo not too long ago. He and Miles must not mesh well?

Suddenly some respect for Notre Dame?

This is a great move by both of them. They get to continue coaching for elite programs and when they retire they get 85% of their salary since they'd be in the Ohio pension program. Given their situations, I'd make that move any day.

Easy fix for Sleeper. OSU took the ND coach because he clearly wants to be a winner. Duh.
