Microsoft Security Essentials.

It's free. It's good. No complaints here. Been using it for over 2 years now.

I use AVG. It's also free and seems to work fairly well.

Malwarebytes. You can use the free version and scan when you want or pay the one time fee of like $30. I like the fact that it updates it's virus database pretty much daily.

Malwarebytes is an anti-malware tool, not anti-virus.

No shit. But it's still technically an anti-malware tool.

Anti-Virus is generally classified as real-time protection and not a removal tool which Malwarebytes is. (A very good one though).

TLDR: Malwarebytes is for removing malware, not for use as a preventative like anti-virus programs are.

I like MSE. I have Malwarebytes too, but I agree it's a removal tool, not a protection tool.

Users of gay porn are big on MSE as it's especially geared toward those types of viruses.

Yes, but I had no idea it was big in the gay porn enthusiast community. You did because you are part of that group. It's actually probably a glowing endorsement because like any avid porn user I'm sure you gay porn connoisseurs encounter a ton of malware and viruses.

Do keep us informed if your group of homoerotic video collectors finds a better antivirus program.
