I think Kelly will get it turned around. I do not think he will have as easy of a time doing it at Notre Dame as he did at Cincinnati or Directional Michigan. He was able to turn those 2 into respectable programs without the glare of the media and fans that think they should be 12-0 every year down his back. He's facing a different animal at Notre Dame than at Cincy or CMU. If he is given the right amount of time and doesn't fold under the pressure he will have ND back on track to being good again.

I think Kelly will improve the ND team but it's going to take time. Making a BCS game in the first 5 years, I doubt it but you never know. With the players they are losing this year to graduation and entering the draft early I see next years team being below .500.

Has anything I posted untrue? No. I think ND fans are so wrapped up in their bias they fail to see the simply truth. ND is a second tier(at best) program trying to maintain top tier program from nearly 20 years ago.

No one likes ND fans because year after year we have to hear about how great they are going to be, until the year actually comes, and then we have to hear about how great ND will be next year. I'd be okay with ND if they actually had any decent logical fans that realized their team is average at best and will never return to national prominence, EVER. I mean ND went 6-6 this year, and you had people claiming Heisman for Tate or Clausen, seriously? I mean really? Delusional. And then of course, the arrogance to turn down a minor bowl game because you are too good for it? LOL. Face it, the only thing ND is too good is laughing at their own shortcomings, and you can take that to the bank.

I just wonder if Kelly can get away with yelling at his players & coaches on the sidelines at ND, most top D1 players have been spoiled most of their lives & do`nt like to get yell at by coaches in front of 80,000 fans.

Remember just a decade or so ago, USC was a non-factor before Pete Carroll. Look at Alabama before Saban. Remember Zook at Florida? Even Randy Shannon has started to re-elevate the UM program back into the spotlight.


People want ND to fail simply because they hate the program. I also feel that after listening to the Swarbrick news conference, the university did not want to go to a bowl game simply because they felt that they didn't deserve it. But remember... they let the players decide.

ND needs to gameplan on how to beat USC before they can begin to think about national championships. This year of any, would have been the year, but they blew it. USC will be built back up again next season, pissed off about the lack of success this year, and throttle ND. I think its going to be a very long time before Notre Dame is battling for a national title.
