I don't know much about either....but when region 12 was matched up in the first round many wanted to face Shawnee.....they have definitely proved their worth....bit will need some help to keep this one close.

I don't know how you pick against Mooney beating good teams all year and especially in the playoffs against Big red and Chagrin and Dover.

This should be a good game. I don't think it's as much of a mismatch as some are acting. If I had to wager a bet, it would be hard to go against Mooney, but I don't think it will be a three touchdown win. Shawnee is 14-0, and they've beaten some good teams too. Mooney is definitely beatable... they have lost 3 times, granted they played a very difficult schedule during the regular season, with 6 of their opponents qualifying for the playoffs (Mifflin County lost in the first round of the PIAA big school playoffs) and games against Ursuline and Red Lion Academy.

Springfield Shawnee = won D2 boys state XC title, beating all the Akron privately built $$ school XC teams. Even topped the giant Woodridge. Shawnee also had the individual boys golf state champion.

Lets go rural community public schools!
