I'll guess 3 of those current top 6 won't make it.....it's rarely predictable.

Jets, Chargers, Falcons and Cowboys.....3 of those take the place of Bengals, Raiders, Lions, Giants and Bears.

I think only the Jets can sneak in in the AFC. The NFC who knows. Id say the 6 in the AFC will be the playoff teams, but New England will be the 1 and Pittsburgh the 2.

What I mentioned on Thursday night ended up happening.

Jets, Bills and Titans all lost, putting the Steelers up by two games in the wild card chase.

The No. 5 position wouldn't be that bad if they ended up where they are now. Oakland is a solid team but better to go there than New England. Obviously, Pittsburgh at Oakland would be kinda cool anyway.

New England would beat Cincinnati

Then if the Steelers beat Oakland it would be Pittsburgh at Baltimore in the divisional round.

Well after the SNF game the Cowboys are ahead of the Giants for the division(better division record).

Non I said it on the random chatter thread but I'll say it here you were right the Bills are terrible.

The Bills/Jets game is basically an elimination game.

Despite all that's happened to both teams the past few weeks, whoever wins will be back in it.

I was ready to jump on here and say how that's crazy, but looking at their schedules, it's plausible. Atlanta has two "tough" games left, @ Houston and @ New Orleans, which they could split depending on Leinart. Detroit has four "tough" games left (home/away vs GB, @ Oakland, @ New Orleans) which, who knows. If they lose three of those four and Atlanta goes 5-1, there you have it.

Cleveland actually has an opportunity still.

If you look at the other teams like the Bengals, Jets, Bills, Broncos, Titans, Chargers, Chiefs.

Are any of those teams looking like true playoff teams? I'd say no with the exception of Cincinnati but the Browns play the Bengals this week and the Bengals still have games against Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Houston.

If the Browns win this week and go to 5-6 with the Bengals at 6-5, they're in the wild card picture.

Sure, they're probably only a mediocre team but so are the others in contention for the last spot. Browns can hang their hat on a pretty good defense.
