OSU needs to quit shooting the 3. They are terrible behind the arc.

This game is over, I expected OSU to hang close but come up short.

I counted this game as a loss when predicting OSU's final record. I still say they get to 20 wins even without Turner but hopefully he gets back sooner than we expect fully healthy.

Well, this was my fear without Turner...you can now see how valuable/good he is. OSU is going to struggle big time on offense without him. Turner stats are one thing, the other is how much better he makes others around him.

OSU cannot get a foul call for them. If an OSU player touches a Butler player it is a foul, but Butler is hand checking and pushing the Buckeyes around without getting called for a foul.

The good news is there are 3 straight should-be cupcake home games after this for these guys to gel and find themselves without Turner before the brutal opening to the Big 10 season.

I didn't think the refs were that bad, although Butler's finally possession where they missed the travel and the offensive shove was ridiculous. I'll tell you what did get old was Bilas defending Howard's dumb fouls as just being overly competitive. Guess what? It's college basketball -- everyone is competitive. It's no excuse to make dumb, lazy fouls that only cost your team in the end. It's amazing he's fouled out six out of the ten games they've played this season.

Well, I can't say I was hopeful that OSU was going to win this game. As I said, my fear without Turner, is that OSU is going to struggle on offense at points during the course of the game, and they did. Turner is so multidimensial that he can score, post up, create plays, and get others open.
He is also able to break down a defense as the clock is winding down. On top of that, he is the best and really the only PG on the team. Add in that he is by far the best rebounder and OSU is also going to struggle on the boards, as they did today.
As we saw, Buford and Diebler are going to struggle to even get shots as their defensive players don't need to help off anymore. Although Buford did score 20...it was a struggle for him to get that, he turned the ball over and forced things at times.
Hopefully they can get better with the next few games against weaklings. But when the Big Ten rolls around, and with 4 of first 5 Big Ten games on the road...I can see OSU starting out 1-4 in the Big Ten.

Some stuff was fishy at the end but you know what...don't go down 17.......don't go without a FG from the 12:00 til the 3:50 mark


OSU looked horrible on 1/2 court offense and defense....Turner is a huge loss...but I'd rather Diebler shoot an open 26 footer as opposed to a 21 footer with 2 guys in his face.

WHy did they wait so long to use their athleticism????
