Also, just reading Mulva's posts I can tell he has no clue on lines work and there's no way he's making money.

No clue on 40. I havent run one in 7 years. 31 ACT, Indiana.

Sports betting is all about betting teams you know that the rest of the country doesnt. I really only bet NFL cause its fun. Ive lost each year, but I hit a huge parlay in week 7 this year.

College basketball is easily my bread and butter. I took Davidson every game Stephs final year. They were always like 13 pt favorites. Rode that easy money to like 900 alone. Vegas always underestimated Davidson that season.

Of course, I then go to casinos and lose my money, so it works out. But I usually only spend what I make betting sports for gambling at the casinos.

Great. Lines are 50/50. Unless you get in super early and something happens to a key player, you are going to lose money over time. There's no way around it. The average sports bettor wins slightly less than 50% of the games, but even if you are good, and we'll say you are good, you have to win over 55% of bets to even turn a marginal profit. The statistics don't back you up, and that's why most people always think they are up money but in reality they are just slowly dying.

I do a little better than breaking even. I'm not betting thousands of dollars either way though, so it's pretty much irrelevant.

I appreciate your insight though. I will enjoy losing money. Believe it or not I'm very much aware of that possibility, and it's part of what makes gambling enjoyable.

Oh, and I got a 32 on the ACT.

Not that any of this has anything to do with the B1G-ACC challenge. Maybe I'll start a thread to discuss lines and picks. But probably not.

Yes, lines are 50-50. Thats why I dont bet lines I dont love, IE, I pick the game I think Vegas is fucking up. OSU/Gonzaga and O/U for UNC-Wisky is going to net me quite a bit of money as long as ND doesnt make a run. Im not saying Im smarter than Vegas, but when Im putting a coupe hundred on a parlay, it only takes 1 to hit to be quite in the money.

I believe I enjoy betting on sports. I believe that disposable income is meant to be disposed of. I am very aware that I might, and probably will, lose money in the long run. If I don't have disposable income to bet with I won't be betting, so there's no issue on my part. I never disputed the numbers, I said that I personally have not lost money to this point (I have cashed out more than I have deposited in my life, but again I'm about the smallest stakes player there is). I do appreciate your concern over my financial well being though.

And I take it you have no opinion on that Mississippi/Depaul game?

I bet against Ole Miss the other day against Miami at home. Miami was getting 2. Ole Miss covered and won by 3. I also bet the Rebels +9 against Marquette, they lost by 30. I'm going to stay away from them :)

15 on the ACT here. I call players and tell them to turn the ball over on purpose, miss easy shots, etc. Whatever they do, their team can't cover. I pay them about $1,000 and I make about $5,000. That's how you do it!

Does sportsbook work pretty well? I've been going through a buddy who has a bookie, but would rather do it like that where you can do teasers and parlays.
