Bardall is no longer at Garaway, which would seem to be the biggest development in the conference. Girls IVC fans everywhere rejoice, hoping to never have to see another game where both teams score less than 40 points.
Ridgewood has an outstanding player in Kayla Tedrick who will keep her team in the thick of it.
Strasburg has their coach in place for the second year and has some talent to work with.
TCC has some nice players returning, Neidig in particular.
Malvern has as much returning talent as they have had in a long time. Interesting to see if they can move up.
NCT has an outstanding player in Allie Hinton, but not a lot around her (maybe as few as 10 kids in the whole program). New coach. We'll have to see what happens.
Sandy Valley will probably struggle.
Hiland got the snot beat out of them by 5 opponents and their coach last year. They had a really good summer beating some fine teams and going 8-1 at the Maine West Shootout in Chicago (2008-09 team went 0-9). Coach Schlabach has appeared to have used last year to get them ready for this year, and it seems to have worked pretty well. Last Friday night the Lady Hawks defeated the defending D1 champs, McKinley, in fairly dominant fashion. They have the potential to dominate the IVC and be a state quality team. Time will tell.
