Agree! Also RR1, I enjoy the efforts you have made over the years on Red Rider Sports blog and the trivia and stats found therein and am glad some one has taken of his own time to gather so much info into 1 site! I am sure there are many others who will continue to enjoy it and as in all things the minorities are the most vocal and the majority are usually the silent. Thanks and keep up the good work
This is my first year on this site and as on most other sites the value of anonymity is about as steady as steroid use! Take it away and what do you have???? A little skinny kid with low self esteem! Just kidding fellas! LOL, Come on guys lets keep it about the game and the team!
Riders lost a tough close game, hope they can get it together before this next 6 or 7 games or it could be a hard year for the Riders! I still got faith in that RTR baby!!!! Nothing good is easy, lets go fellas!

Can’t wait until Friday, maybe we could see more of those long drives with the run pass mix, like in the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] quarter, Copley’s line seem to be as big as North West, but a lot more athletic, and I thought we ran the ball well, unfortunately we had to play catch up.

And ran the ball well with what seemed like a very simple gameplan. That middle read was open & effective all night.
Just another positive that I hope we build on this week.

Any word on Zook coming back this week? How is the knee progressing? It would be great to see him back on the field soon.
Keep working Riders Friday is coming!

He has been runing with the team, but not at full speed. Pretty sure he will not play this Friday.rrfan;1267984 wrote:Any word on Zook coming back this week? How is the knee progressing? It would be great to see him back on the field soon.

Glad he didn't take Mr.300's advice & give up football.
Hope Joel can come back healthy. We need his ability on both sides of the ball.

Heard yesterday evening that the plan is to have Zook play defense only this week @ Lex.

That is a start. I like it. He should help the defense and I will enjoy seeing him back on the field. When I saw the injury I did not think he would be back this year. Glad that was not correct.

Hate to talk about "must win" games in week 4...but if the playoffs are even to be discussed as a possibility, then this week needs to be a win.
With Senior, WH & @ Ashland to follow, the schedule gets no easier.

7 wins and we get in. 6 wins would be pushing it and to get 6 wins we will need to go 5-2 in the OCC...thats gonna be tough to do.

..and if we host a 2nd round playoff game maybe we get to watch Triway vs. Norwayne on Heartland Field. That would be a tough one one to swallow!!

there is a zero percent chance that I would attend a game at our field to watch Triway unless they are playing the Riders.

Our last 3 game losing streak was in 2002. Hope we can avoid that and get a big win Friday.

former Lex coach BJ Payne at it again for Hilton Head Island HS. Senior QB/Ath Michael Julian (6'5" 190lb) now has offers from Arizona, Indaina, Arkansas....and 6-7 MAC level offers. Some in Lex had it in/out for Coach Payne but his effort in getting his kids and the kids he plays aganst recruited/noticed is relentless.

5knots I never understood why they did not like the guy. He has one of the best mentors in the business and gets his kids to the next level. Why you would want to run him off is beyond me.

Wow hard to believe Zook is back, with all the second hand smoke and broken liquor bottles laying around the house.:laugh:Old Rider;1268584 wrote:Heard yesterday evening that the plan is to have Zook play defense only this week @ Lex.

Just kidding the Zook’s run a tight ship, just trying to give Mark a bad time, and get him to post.

I would rather chop off a finger than attend that game! LOL, I hope the riders can get it back on the rails this week. Nothing has happened these last two weeks that a big win this week can't fix! RTR Baby lets roll!!!!!..and if we host a 2nd round playoff game maybe we get to watch Triway vs. Norwayne on Heartland Field. That would be a tough one one to swallow!!

If you actually knew why they ran him out you probably would have NO respect for the guy. Had nothing to do with football.5knots;1269495 wrote:former Lex coach BJ Payne at it again for Hilton Head Island HS. Agree 100% that would be very hard to watch.....but on the other hand it would be cool for the area and was one of the reasons why we got turf, to host playoff games.rrfan;1269453 wrote:there is a zero percent chance that I would attend a game at our field to watch Triway unless they are playing the Riders.

Coach Davault and staff will have the boys ready to bounce back. I hope we can finally play a full 4 quarters!RedRider1;1269485 wrote:Our last 3 game losing streak was in 2002. Hope we can avoid that and get a big win Friday.
His track record for getting his players to the next level is impressive, just like Coach Davault.5knots;1269495 wrote:former Lex coach BJ Payne at it again for Hilton Head Island HS. He was rumored to be in the mix for some NE Ohio coaching jobs, but with what happened in Lex, I'm not surprised he left for Hilton Head.
