I know from hearing it from the head coach himself...he takes no greater joy in seeing a kid mature from a sophomore finding his way to a senior that is a leader & a confident young man ready to take the next step in life. That will pay dividends long after that young man is done with Orrville football. And yes...we all win when that happens.5knots;1263563 wrote:This is just the kind of attitude that our staff accepts as a challenge to try and change a kid's perspective on life. Nothing has really changed; it’s just that right now we have three guys pissing in the pool, so we have to get out, for a while, while the chlorine and filter does its job.sanitizer;1263612 wrote:My oh my how times have changed!
Good luck Orrville beat Copley
Ps. Coach DaVault has more character and integrity in a finger nail clipping he throws in the trash, than those three combined.

Ouch that hurt. NOT ! Listen ahole if you don't like what I post don't read it. I'm not friends with any coaches or players or players parents so I don't have to sugar coat what I say and worry about losing friends over my opinions. I say things the rest of you are afraid to because you may piss off a friend. Everyone Out Of The Pool !!!REDRIDER555;1263814 wrote:troll, red rider nation, series

For the record...I was contacted directly by OHS admins and asked to share that news in the name of getting the news out there for people to see.thePITman;1263948 wrote:Interesting notes about Copley HS:

Sounds like the Copley folks have it handled, and the kids at OHS have been informed.
Great to have powerful communication tools.

5Knots, I understand what you're saying and for the most part, I do agree. You've not heard nor read me say anything to the contrary. I'll say it again and I'll keep saying it, I didn't blame coach Davault for the attitude of the players that missed practice, nor did I discount the fact that they could have played a part in it.5knots;1263563 wrote:I'm sorry Series, but this is exactly the problem with our country if young folks are thinking like this, I could give you countless numbers of kids over the years who as 9,10 even 11th graders never got much opportunity to play. But they continued working, learning, growing, and ended up being a contributor on Friday night and even more of an example to new young kids that perseverance and effort pays off. Heck it pays off even of it did not result in playing time Friday night because what you accomplished individually for yourself by being committed to goal.
This is just the kind of attitude that our staff accepts as a challenge to try and change a kid's perspective on life. If they can help a young man realize that hard work does pay off and it is your own responsibility to make that happen we ALL win. Wouldn't you agree?
Good luck tonight Riders. Beat Copley. Then check out the Illini Saturday night 10:30 on ESPN vs Arizona State. RTR
The coach/coaches aren't perfect despite the definite belief of some. They make mistakes. If saying that is bashing, then so be it!

It was a move to force you and your buds out of the pool to save you from consuming and drowning in yours and the coaches feces! Very proud of the effort tonight. Saw progress. Snaps were a non issue. Run game was good and passing game was better than last week.
Difference in the game was Copley's Deucie Turner. 4 TD's on the night. Easily the best RB at Copley since former Mr. Football Delone Carter. He and Willoughby South's Kareem Hunt might be the 2 best RB's in NE Ohio.
Game was 28-7 at half. Could have been 50-7. Riders played with heart and never once quit on themselves. Would have been easy to do.
Still plenty to work on and losing is never fun...but this was progress from last week.

Difference in the game was the fact that these players are not taught how to tackle. That last td he had was a perfect example of how not to tackle. You have to wrap the legs not tug at his arm. I know they were hoping for a fumble but you have to stop the guy from running over and around and through you. Little secret guys, wrap up the legs he will go down.RedRider1;1264271 wrote:Very proud of the effort tonight. Saw progress. Snaps were a non issue. Now Troll what do you mean not taught to tackle? That sounds like a bash on the coach. You are classless! He has a family man come on!!! You are going to hurt his feelingsTroll King;1264281 wrote:Difference in the game was the fact that these players are not taught how to tackle.
