Dyson(RB,DB)&Inman(RB,LB) have the potential to be special players IF they dedicate themselves. Ritchie(DB,WR),Smith(DB,WR),Auble(OL,LB),Kick(OL,DL),Coleman(WR,DB),Ballinger(WR,DB),Palmer(RB,LB) & Duskey(K) all have playing experience and can contribute. There are a handful of soph's to be that should contribute as well and possibly a Frosh or two. It all starts in the weightroom as far as how good this team will be of course.
Let me put on my Red Rider glasses, I think there’s some upside to next year, but a lot depends on a few juniors and a lot of sophomores , getting in the weight room, and camps this off season. This is my reasoning. There is a priority put on the older kids, to work with the current sophomores, I saw what happened to my kid, when Davis, and Monheim got a hold off him his freshman summer in the weight room, pressure and encouragement from upper classmen can work better than adults a lot of the time. Here is my take on offensive and defensive lines.
O-line Kick, Brown, maybe Summers (possible RB) all have had lots of playing time.
James Miller (soph) is working hard in the weight room, already drop 30 pounds
Amir Simpson, now in basketball, but is still in weight room, big kid, and seems to be committed.
Connor Davis, good hard working kid, hopefully this will be his year
Couple of freshmen to be soph that could see time, Corbin Sprowls, Jacob Hochstetler
Key to o-line will be offseason work, my question is who will be center, and also the Kick boy is one of the toughest kids I have seen play in the junior class, if that kid hit the weight room hard and came in to 2-days in shape, look out on both sides of the ball.
D-line Kick, Brown, and one of the above at tackle.
People to watch, not on the line.
Joel Zook putting on some serious muscle
Connor Auble already big and strong, finally figured his feet problem out, seems to be doing fine.
Chandler Smith, came back last year and got more and more varsity time as the year went on.
Kyle Ritchie, just straight and steady works hard and always reliable.
Sorry if I missed some one, like to hear from someone that watched some more JV than I did, I hope their is a sleeper in that bunch, that is a difference maker Friday night.
