Deserves a thread for himself and deserves a raise BEFORE midnight. Congrats to the Browns and their fans--I know you're loving this right now.

Great coaching job by Ryan, got them fired up and put them in the right spots all night long.

Who still wants to talk shit on Mangini? I'm telling you, you get this guy some players and you'll love Eric Mangini. Draft Suh or Berry and try to find some new guys on defense and Ryan will turn this into something special.

I don't know about Mangini.....the Cleveland media seems to think he is 1 and done even if they won tonight....

As for Ryan, he did to Pittsburgh, what the Steelers usually do to other teams......blitzed from all angles and just called a brilliant game.

To get rid of Mangini after one year with maybe the worst roster I've ever seen in the league would be pure stupidity.

Well, if they do, it isn't because of coaching....I think it would have more to do with him alienating himself from the front office and media.

Winning cures everything.

And beating the Steelers to effectively end their playoff hopes is priceless.

I've praised the hiring of Rob Ryan all year and he's the only guy on the coaching staff I care about.

I think Mangini does deserve another year, but we need a new OC.

Great overall game today and I seriously feel like we won a Super Bowl right now, haha...

I'm not sold on Mangini, never have been, but one and dones aren't going to get it done. As much as I'm not sold on him, or friggin' Daboll, I think at least Mangini and Ryan need to stick around. Daboll can clean jocks next year and I wouldn't care.

I wouldn't either. He's proven to be an offensive genius at this level.

Stop buying the hype.

The media is who hates Mangini. He proved tonight he's an outstanding coach. He and his staff took a team that had won one game and was fielding a bunch of practice squad and free agents -- and found a way to win.

He has never lost this team.

If they fire him, they're bigger idiots than I think -- and that's saying something. The ONLY reason you get rid of him is if your new football "czar" (whoever it ends up being) really feels he has to bring in his own person.

Hopefully, the czar will have time to evaluate and see that this staff (without Dabol) is pretty good and just needs some damn talent.

I'm telling you guys, bring Weis in and keep Mangini. Give them a few years to bring in some REAL players and see what happens--you'll like the result.

Oh, and by all means, keep Ryan for SURE! lol

With 11 draft picks, it shouldn't take long to get some players in here..

I also think Brady can be the guy to work this offense.

Yes. I will eat my crow. They should stick with Brady for sure, I was wrong about him. He didn't do much to win the game for them tonight--but he won them the game by not LOSING the game. He didn't make mistakes, he believed in his defense. I have to give Brady credit--he's surprised me recently.

I was hard on Brady myself, but I always felt he deserved a fair chance, which he is finally getting. His last 4 games have been pretty damn solid.

A lot of people bought into what a couple guys said on JJ Huddle about the Browns. They couldn't form their own opinions and took whatever those couple of guys on the Huddle said as truth...

Without those guys here, people are now starting to form their own opinions.

Just something I've noticed.

Wow dude, nice choice of entree' :) I told you I just wanted a few games in a row.

To be honest though, he was a wisker away from a couple picks.

Um, well, I'm not going to name names (yes) because I respect the guy, but I'm not one to rely on one poster for information.

I like to form my own educated opinions on players, teams, draft picks, etc..

Plus he flip flopped a lot regarding the QB situation...

He of which you speak did a TON of reseach I would not normally done on my own due to time. It was nice to have names thrown around to look for yourself, and you can hardly question his dedication.

Oh, I'm not questioning anything, like I said, I respect the guy, but a lot of people just bought into whatever he was saying...

I have no problem with the guy at all... So don't take it the wrong way.

I love sports, period, so I know a lot my self, but I don't like to preach that my word is THE word...

haha, yeah... I did like that he brought stuff from the OBR over...

I don't like paying for websites just to get info I can get elsewhere by looking around, but that was most definitely a nice addition.

That's the point I'm trying to make SQ...

I didn't get on Browns threads much at the old place due to this reason... There wasn't much information being spread by the forum itself, it was more so people waiting for him to post something.

It was ridiculous when he advocated for Brady to get the starting job, then when Brady was pulled he went back to DA, then shortly back to "noodle arm" BQ...

Look, BQ doesn't have the strongest arm, but he made some damn good throws in that San Diego game DOWN FIELD that his receivers kind of gave up on.

You get Brady some weapons on offense, and he'll probably give you some results. Massaquoi, Robiskie, Moore, and Cribbs is a start and definitely a good foundation, but we need a couple of more guys who are a THREAT EACH time they catch the ball. I'd also like to get a veteran receiver in here too...

I really like what I saw from Chris Jennings too. He and James Davis could form a pretty damn good duo with a good line in place.

All in all, we have these 11 picks to work with and should have some FA money to go out and sure up some other spots. We could honestly make a VAST improvement next season if everything is done correctly.

not a fan of mangini at all, but love ryan. I admit , had hoped to go 1-15 (to seal mangin's fate and assure us of a top 3 pick at least) but it was kinda cool to see them beat Pittsburgh---and essentially make sure they can't make it to the playoffs. the defense helped take away hines Ward,s big grin!
I could live with mangini if we had a gm or president above him to take away some of his power and ego. would much rather see him gone. But Ryan as the Def. coord, and weis as the off. coord, a real gm/president to run the team, draft the right people, make the right trades, etc, and get Lerner the heck away from picking the coaahes (i.e. mangenius) and having anything to do with running the team---that would at least be a start to gettting the Browns lloking like a pro team again.
