It's easy to just answer the question... "What if your wife MADE more." No one will say "no way!" When a man thinks of his wife making more, you KNOW the thought comes into his mind of his wife trying to become more of a dominant (what we would view as a man's job) household figure.
What decisions do you believe the highest earner makes alone?

It's the male ego. Most males possess it, you do not appear to.

I'm curious about this as well.

To answer the original question, I don't think it'd be a big deal. We consider it all our income that we use to pay our expenses. We don't even track it separately.

I'd gladly have my wife make more than me. More money for the family. But, if you are any kind of a man, it's going to hurt your ego some.

and LOL at some of you saying zwick is bragging about having a bachelor's....last I checked that wasn't some great achievement.

I'm upset that she doesn't. She's sitting on a gold mine.

I make more than my wife now, but she made more than me for a long time. I wasn't working much in school, and when I graduated it was a while before i got a job. Even then I was only working crappy jobs for a few years (I guess it's because I only have a B.S.). A little over a year ago I got a good gob and I make a decent amount more than her. It feels nice mostly because she helped me a lot for a few years so I've been able to do a lot for her now, but overall as long as we have enough I don't care who makes more. And I did not get the new Tech N9ne.
