I'm getting used to it. I hated it at first. But I had to give up my job and relocate wherever the USAF told us to go. Sooo I didn't really have a choice. So now I'm just working part time and getting another degree.

Are they comparing equally educated persons or everyone that works at McDonalds or Walmart?

I have no idea....they just state that public sector workers make 43% more than private sector and cite a study to prove it.

as long as my wife gives me a good blowjob and a hot pot of coffee every night, our earnings are meaningless

My wife just recently started making more money than me. About 5k more a year. I do not care at all. I essentially took about a 20-25k paycut to make this happen mainly because my previous job had high commission opportunity but I worked way too much. Decided I would rather watch my kids grow up than be at work all the time.

Doesn't bother me in the least. As a matter of fact, I friggin love it. We are able to have everything we want and provide a great life for our kids. We both work extremely hard at what we do.

Now, if she could just beat her cancer my life would be complete!

If my wife made more than I do I would be happy. We are like Con_Alma, ours is our money regardless of who makes it.

Right now my wife is a stay at home mom, which is my favorite job for her, and I still view the money as 100% "ours" and not mine.

When she was working she was making about half what I do, and her money went straight to our savings account, we never spent it.

I wouldn't care if she made more than me and had less education.

but if she makes a lot more than you, AND has superior education...I could see how you could be insecure...she'd probably be only keeping you around for your penis.

I am fine with a bitch making all the money and keeping me around for my dong. No shame.

There's no way my wife will ever make more than I do. I marry for looks and cooking talent, and nothing else.

No problem here - in fact, Lady D'Friskies made more that I did for about five years when I changed careers a few years back and went back to college again. Between the job change and the second degree, I now get paid about half again as much as we did together at that time. That's leverage.

Two people working together toward a common goal can accomplish a hell of a lot.

There is more to this question that is underlying, though. It's not just making more... when this question is asked, you have to include, "If your wife made more than you, and expected to make certain decisions as the majority bread earner, etc." how would you feel?

It's easy to just answer the question... "What if your wife MADE more." No one will say "no way!" When a man thinks of his wife making more, you KNOW the thought comes into his mind of his wife trying to become more of a dominant (what we would view as a man's job) household figure.

That's fantastic. Your time with your kids is more valuable than your services in the labor-force. They'll be gone soon enough. Time accelerates.
