I think this is a category Norwayne has the advantage in as well. Our schedule with 6 DII schools puts a beating on your body. As the season extends things just start breaking down from fatigue. Norwayne, not being challenged until week 8 has had time to rest their starters far more than the Riders.

Let's just put it this way....Orrville starters have played I'm guessing 42-43 quarters (giving the fact that they didn't play a quarter vs Triway and Labrae) Norwayne's starters have actually played in approximately 32 quarters. (The only games the starters played all 4 quarters is Smithville, Hillsdale)

Can Norwayne contain the speed? You see how Wynfords speed/big plays got to Smithville.

More than the amount of quarters OQB it is the physicality of the opponent. Madison, Ashland, Senior, Copley, Northwest, vs. Dalton, Chippewa, Northwestern, Waynedale, Rittman. Worlds apart.

Seeing that list...I wonder how the Riders would have fared vs. those five teams? Wonder what our stats would look like?

The quarteres played discussion is an interesting one, rested vs. battle tested. There is definately something to be said about being in "game shape", but can that overcome a fully healthy squad?

And sorry beast, I will be sitting with BRF.

I was thinking the same thing (although Orrville & Norwayne fans alike are both guilty of making more of this game, in addition to "the media"). This is a big week 12 playoff game between two very, very good teams that both deserve to be here. To put so much on this game, fans saying it's a "lose-lose" and saying they'd be "embarrassed" to lose it is an injustice to both teams. Again, both deserve to be here. A close win or close loss is NOT an embarrassment to either team, no matter who wins. I really liked DaVault's quote in The Daily Record:

Let's approach this game for what it is - a great venue for Wayne County as a whole to prove there are multiple good/great teams in our area that can play at a high level. Good luck to both teams Saturday. I cannot wait!

You are correct...but you see my friend how easily something so small can be overlooked???!!!
